This story takes you on quite a trip as you follow Marcy in her journey to visit a local legend, Old Scratch. Some genuinely creepy moments along with some unexpected twists and turns. I absolutely loved it.

Rick Richardson was a writer. He was good, too, despite what the reviews might've said. They said his writing was bad, but Rick knew that wasn't true. He knew the real reason they didn't like his books was because of the content. You see, Rick wrote "splatterpunk"...it was understandable that people might be triggered by the graphic nature of his stories. But then again, that's what the trigger warnings were for.

Great splatterpunk novella about a struggling author frustrated by bad reviews. The story does What splatterpunk does best, taps into realistic emotions and amps them up to insanity. It feels even more relevant in the midst of recent controversies.

I wasn't expecting to get a book recommendation from Jimmy Fallon, but here we are.
Saw this mentioned on the tonight show and it sounded interesting, so I grabbed it on audible. Great suspense thriller that reels you in quick and keeps you guessing. Devoured this in 2 days. Amazing debut!
