Historia
After the death of his best friend, Eric Ly creates imaginary scenarios in his head to deal with his grief. Until one of them becomes real when a boy he met last summer in Japan finds his way back into his life. When he least expects it, Haru Tanaka walks into the coffee shop and sits down next to him. The only thing is, nobody else can see him. In a magical turn of events, Eric suddenly has someone to connect with, making him feel less alone in the world. But as they spend more and more time together, he begins to question what is real.

Queer, grief and Vietnamese
Revisado: 09-12-24
The narration and storytelling are truly exceptional. As a queer Vietnamese person who has recently experienced loss, this book brought a sense of healing I didn't know I needed. Hearing my culture and language woven into the narrative was deeply moving. For those who understand Vietnamese, the use of the language adds an authentic layer of connection, enriching the story without feeling like a gimmick.
This story is one tragedy after another. Just when you think it’s reached its peak, a twist comes that completely wrecks you. I’m talking Uncle Iroh singing to mourn his dead son, the hide and seek scene from Anohana type ugly crying.. IYKYK
I cannot say enough great things about this book. I finished it in one sitting because I could not stop the audio book.

Historia
Self preservation. That's Bobby's motto for surviving his notoriously violent high school unscathed. Being out and queer would put an unavoidable target on his back, especially in a Filipino community that frowns on homosexuality. It's best to keep his head down, get good grades, and stay out of trouble. But when Bobby is unwillingly outed in a terrible way, he no longer has the luxury of being invisible. A vicious encounter has him scrambling for a new way to survive—by fighting back.

Queer Fil-Am representation FINALLY
Revisado: 05-09-23
Definitely something a kid in similar shoes needs! Whether it’s being bullied for being queer, Asian or anything else. It’s a story that makes you cheer for the underdog but understand that people are multifaceted and even the bully has more to their story. I stumbled across this book on an instagram ad and so glad I did. Literally binged the whole audiobook in 1 sitting.
Stories like this, with REAL representation MATTER. We NEED more stories like this.

Did I enjoy the story? Yes
Did I enjoy the audiobook? Yes
Did I enjoy the plot progression? Yes
But uhh the author really made it a point to include POC being “racist” to white people because the color of their skin… kinda tone death if you ask me…

Historia
When his mother became President, Alex Claremont-Diaz was promptly cast as the American equivalent of a young royal. Handsome, charismatic, genius—his image is pure millennial-marketing gold for the White House. There's only one problem: Alex has a beef with the actual prince, Henry, across the pond. And when the tabloids get hold of a photo involving an Alex-Henry altercation, U.S./British relations take a turn for the worse.

Great
Revisado: 09-11-20
This book is so sweet and gives me so much hope for a distant future I’d love to see in America. A queer biracial American and I’d hope something this amazing could ever happen haha.
Such a great queer love story 10/10
