Historia
After a long and eventful life, Allan Karlsson ends up in a nursing home, believing it to be his last stop. The only problem is that he's still in good health, and in one day, he turns 100. A big celebration is in the works, but Allan really isn't interested (and he'd like a bit more control over his vodka consumption). So he decides to escape. He climbs out the window in his slippers and embarks on a hilarious and entirely unexpected journey, involving, among other surprises, a suitcase stuffed with cash.

Dared to let the kids listen and they loved it...

cleverness overdone
Revisado: 11-01-17
Since I paid for it, I finished the whole book hoping for something better, but didn't get it. This is a collection of unlikeable characters with way too much oh-look-what-a-clever-boy-I-am from the author.

Great content with really bad narration
Revisado: 08-26-17
Would you try another book from Jack D. Schwager and/or Clinton Wade?
Schwager is great, and I've listened to all his other market wizards books and loved them. this one is still worth the listen, but the narration is really bad.
How could the performance have been better?
The narrator is so flat - he sounds bored. And he doesn't seem to know much about the subject area, so he mispronounces words that any basic amateur trader knows. Unlike the narrators of the other Market Wizards books, he makes no effort to use his voice to distinguish between the interviewer and the traders answering questions - it's confusing. Finally, he just flubs some sentences - dropping or reversing workds in some pretty obvious ways. I hate to be so harsh, but I paid money for this, and it's just awful.

Okay but not for me
Revisado: 02-01-16
There are a few helpful tips and some motivation for me as an introvert, but mostly basic information. This could have been a long blog post instead of being padded to become a short book, so I don't feel I got value for my money. Also, to me as a man, the style, tone, and content came across as very 'girly.' Maybe the book is intended for a female audience, if so I missed it in the description.

Historia
Pilgrim Theology is a map for Christians seeking to better understand the core beliefs of their faith. Even though it's the study of God, theology has a reputation for being dry, abstract, and irrelevant for daily living. But theology is a matter of life and death. It affects the way you think, the decisions you make, the way you relate to God and the world. Reformed theologian and professor Michael Horton wrote Pilgrim Theology as a more accessible companion to his award-winning systematic theology The Christian Faith.

great book, not a good adaptation
Revisado: 04-14-15
Mike Horton is a brilliant thinker and great writer. I am disappointed with this audio book - wish I had read the book instead. One thing is that sidebars and lists that work well in print don't work as well in audio. Also the narrator is not a great fit for this book - too flat, not getting emphasis in the right place, and not pronouncing ancient names in the commonly accepted ways. Nevertheless it's a great book.

Historia
Does working from home—or anywhere else but the office—make sense? In Remote, Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson, the founders of Basecamp, bring new insight to the hotly debated argument. While providing a complete overview of remote work’s challenges, Jason and David persuasively argue that, often, the advantages of working “off-site” far outweigh the drawbacks.

weak effort
Revisado: 04-14-15
The authors seem to be cashing in on their success in business and with their previous book, Rework (which I found very useful). They mailed this one in with a lot of generalities & common knowledge and with very little practical insight.
