Historia
A soul-stirring new musical conceived by New York Times best-selling novelist Jodi Picoult and playwright Timothy Allen McDonald, Breathe places listeners inside the walls of five homes during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Filled with songs and vignettes that examine new relationships, rekindling flames, parenting, racial reckoning, and grief during a pandemic, this incredibly timely world premiere—written and produced online in 2020 in real-time as events unfolded—reflects the very topics that weighed on the hearts and minds of Americans.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

everything you knew about fairytale and more...
Revisado: 12-04-22
Stephen King has not lost his edge. There is something magical and emotional about this story. There is truth and horror in it. This emotional journey into a magical place will leave you questioning everything you know. You may even find yourself wanting to know the original stories told and not just what Disney and the Grims brothers have led you to believe...

The whole series is amazing and I never seem to get enough of it. the stories build upon eachother, but you can still follow along even if you miss a book. the vocal performance is stellar. she keeps you engaged, but also knowing when there is a new character speaking. it's always hard to put the book down, so I just find a reason to keep listening.

A teen to hook the next generation.
Revisado: 06-01-19
Kim has created a teen version of her wild and sometimes crazy world to hook the new generation in. Those of us young-at-hearts will still appreciate the spunk and twisted story lines even if we can't remember what it was like to be in high school. I shared this one with my teen and he lived it. now we have a series that we can share as he grows old enough to enjoy more of Kim's tales.
This book makes you remember what it was like to be a teen. The decisions you made today didn't seem fair or just, but you had to go along with them because you weren't in charge of everything. Then fate steps in and makes a decision for you. How do you deal with it. How do you impart your will over fate? What is it really like to be a teen, and yet you are actually something more?

What would you do for love?
Revisado: 05-27-19
What would you do for your true love? What makes a person decide that suicide is the only true option? What happens to those left behind after suicide? Romeo and Juliet is supposed to be a love story, and this one too is tragic in this way. Mrs. Picoult has once again created a story to leave you twisting and turning until you no longer can tell what is fact and fiction. In fact you can't help but be saddened for everyone including the lawyers in this story. put this on your reading list and expect some late nights listening or reading, because honestly what would you do for a love like Romeo and Juliet?

It's the stories will go on even after death.
Revisado: 05-20-19
What really are the grounds for forgiveness, and is there anyone who truly is wholly bad or good? History is written by the winners, but what circumstances made the losers bad? This book makes you question everything you think you know about history and what was really written in those books you studied in school. Is forgiveness something you can give, especially after getting to know these characters? keep a box of tissues next to you because this is a roller coaster of emotions book. If your reading this one your world of today will slip away and you will be transported into the ghetto, concentration camps, as well as your sleepy town in America. I dare you to read this and not question your beliefs.

Historia
One moment June Nealon was happily looking forward to years full of laughter and adventure with her family, and the next she was staring into a future that was as empty as her heart. Now her life is a waiting game. Waiting for time to heal her wounds, waiting for justice. In short, waiting for a miracle to happen. For Shay Bourne, life holds no more surprises. The world has given him nothing, and he has nothing to offer the world. In a heartbeat, though, something happens that changes everything for him.

moral decisions all around
Revisado: 05-03-19
Once again there is a beautiful story that questions everything you believe. What would you go through to save someone? Where is your faith and why do you believe in it? What is your line for comfortable and do you really feel safe in it, or is it just something you tell yourself? When is it ok to lie? What would you really do to protect someone? These are Just a few questions that still leave me questioning even after this book is over.
This read is more than a question of faith, life, and death; this read will tell a story that opens your mind. It will open you up to real life everyday but through the. eyes of a lawyer, priest, prisoner, and a mom. Ms. Picoult really used the saying walk a mile in another person's shoes and turned it on it's head. bring a box of tissues as always, because there are going to be years and outrage and somewhere along the way you will fall in love with these characters.

This book is not an easy read. not because of the story but the subject. I challenge you to listen to this story and not have it question yourself. this should be a part of the school system to help open doors for the teens that are questioning their beliefs. we all need some equity.

Buckle up because this performance is gonna take you on a ride like you've not been on with any other audio book.
