Historia
Just as Sophie Mercer has come to accept her extraordinary magical powers as a demon, the Prodigium Council strips them away. Now Sophie is defenseless, alone, and at the mercy of her sworn enemies - the Brannicks, a family of warrior women who hunt down the Prodigium. Or at least that's what Sophie thinks, until she makes a surprising discovery. The Brannicks know an epic war is coming, and they believe Sophie is the only one powerful enough to stop the world from ending.

Great finale!
Revisado: 09-10-18
Everything came together so well and I was really impressed with how the author was able to include such massive hiccups for the heroes, but that they were able to overcome! I loved the magic and the lore so much, I'm so glad I came back to finish this series. It was such a fun read and I will definitely recommend this series to anyone.

Historia
Sophie Mercer thought she was a witch, which was why she was sent to Hex Hall, a reform school for delinquent Prodigium (a.k.a. witches, shapeshifters, and fairies). But that was before she discovered she was a demon, and her hot crush, Archer Cross, was an agent for The Eye, a group bent on wiping her kind off the face of the earth.

I enjoyed this least of the series, but did enjoy
Revisado: 09-10-18
This one stopped me from finishing the series a few years ago. I didn't like the plot twists because I felt they were a little too much after everything. However, they didn't hit me that same way the second time reading it. Still, the first and third are slightly higher ratings in my book.

Historia
On her 12th birthday, Sophie Mercer discovered that she was a witch. Three bumpy years later, after a prom-night spell gone horribly wrong, she's exiled to Hex Hall, an isolated reform school for wayward Prodigium, a.k.a. witches, faeries, and shapeshifters. By the end of her first day, Sophie has quite a scorecard: three powerful enemies who look like supermodels, a futile crush on a gorgeous warlock, a creepy tagalong ghost, and a new roommate who happens to be the most hated person and only vampire on campus.

Such a fun "read"!
Revisado: 09-10-18
This book actually brought me back years later to finish out the series with a fresh read. I loved the lore and the fun/sassy lead. It kept me laughing and intrigued through the whole thing! I definitely recommend this book. It's clean and a lot of fun.

Historia
A Great Winged One will soon arise and cast his fearsome shadow upon the land. And just as Night slays Day, and Day slays Night, so also shall another Black Witch rise to meet him, her powers vast beyond imagining. So foretells the greatest prophecy of the Gardnerian mages. Carnissa Gardner, the last prophesied Black Witch, drove back the enemy forces and saved her people during the Realm War. Now a new evil is on the horizon, and her granddaughter, Elloren, is believed to be Carnissa's heir—but utterly devoid of power in a society that prizes magical ability above nearly all else.

Great book! (If you can last the very long intro)
Revisado: 09-10-18
In the end, I really loved how everything came together. It felt extremely slow and I had no idea where the book was going. I love the characters, she stayed true to each of their personalities and I LOVE that. I gave it such a high review, because despite the fact that it took 16 of the 18 hours for me to REALLY get into it, I loved those last few hours enough to pre-order the next book! Highly recommend, next to no language or sexual content that I can recall.

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Amazing book and performance!
Revisado: 09-10-18
This book already has an amazing plotline, but adding in the relatable, flawed, and heroic characters, I quickly fell in love. Davina Porter does a great job, especially with the accents!! It really draws me into the world and makes me feel like I'm back in the Scottish Highlands with them. Highly recommend for adult readers, as there are graphic sexual scenes.
