Painful

I don’t usually write reviews but this one became painful to listen too. I don’t believe it was the narrator I believe it was the book. It’s short and I only made it half way through. Just couldn’t do anymore. I usually like this author’s work but no idea what this was.

I don’t usually write reviews but if I can save anyone from wasting their time on this book then it is worth my time. Carly Robbins did a great job narrating this however, Tor not so much. In my opinion many of his “voices” were just swarmy! I kept reminding myself that these characters were just 17-18 years old. I don’t believe that the characters were consistently written as being 17-18 years old. This was not the worst book ever but most definitely not the best!

Not a whining idiot female character!🙂

Ok, I do not write many reviews but I decided to this time because this was the first romance I listened to in a long time where the female character was a relatively normal person. I like a variety of books and have been a long time Audible member and I love the Audible escapes,
That being said I get so tired of listening to books where you have a female with a great job, great friends, perfect body, blah blah..you know the drill. We all have faults but so many of these characters then act like 16 year olds when it comes to men. They whine because the men cannot read minds, they don't tell them how they feel or they avoid men or sex because of some deep dark dumb issue. Like because I have read too many romance novels I believe that there is only one true love and he died so at the ripe old age of 30 I will forever be alone. 🤦‍♀️ So in this book the female character is quirky but not an idiot and same with the male character. Good to know that men are not perfect right? 🙌 We also know going into it that they will live happily ever after, because well this is a romance novel and we know the ending before we even push play.
I just appreciated the the author didn't drag out a ton of unrealistic junk. I believe that if you like romance and the happily ever after without all the whining then you should like this one! Good luck 🙌

I got this book and started it a couple times before I actually "got into it". I do not write many reviews but after just finishing it and trying to decide on my next book I am feeling a bit short changed. Where I can see how the narrator would do a good job for a different type of read I just don't know that this was a good fit. I felt she read the book not preformed it. Sometime I felt as if I was listening to a first grader learning to read.. sorry.

I have never written a review before. I loved Nora Roberts for years and been an Audible member for years as well. I am ashamed to say I hesitated buying this book because of the subject, it's just not my usual thing. If you are reading this also hesitating stop now and get this book! It is not a typical post apocalypse kind of book. I finished this much faster than I expected to and now it is going to be difficult waiting for the next one.

It's another book in the series. this one is a bit more interesting with some of the childhood history (little bits) of Eve Dallas. I really wish she would just get some of the issues from the past out and deal with them like the tough cop she is. Like the rest of us in the world would. I do enjoy the series just wish I had more time to

Where does Origin in Death rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of my favorite series however the first book I have listened too. Horrible voices done by narrator. Very disappointing.
