Great performances make some books better

The story in an of itself I felt was rather average. The performance was what kept me listening to the end. The details are enchanting and the research is thorough. Presented as a sort of docu-drama in book format.
I enjoyed it overall 3 stars.

Fantastic performance, good story

We listened to this as a family during October. what a fun story. Nobody seems to have a little bit of all of us in his personality. The performance of the book made it quite enjoyable, though, we're extremely grateful that we can listen at 1.25x the speed.

Average detective sorry with 3 sub plots

Hopeful that this would be as good as Patterson's work on the young adult treasure series I got this book. What it lacks is a bit of character development for someone other than Jack. There's unnecessary vulgarity and smut in a work that could have been much more.
