So many dramatic silly scenes

Each book Diem gets more ridiculous- she’s immature, the idea of her being a ruler of anything is hard to believe; the silliness of not killing mortals who are killing others, putting more people, including herself in more danger. “Promise me Vance if I let you go you will be a nice guy from now on” (not an exact quote). She continues to put herself and others in danger for no rationale reason. It is tiring to keep hearing so many books like this of some woman that is supposed to be strong but acts like a wimp doubting herself.

I love this type of book- I'm so hungry for them that I've been willing to sit through bad performances and mediocre writing. I was pleasantly surprised when I happened upon this book. The writing is smart, the characters are likable and they do what should be done- I hate when you read something and a tragedy is about to happen because the character isn't smart enough to communicate. I was VERY happy with the narrator a well, the characters have their own voices but it's not cheesy of annoying as is often the case. The perfect amount of drama and emotion without if being a soap opera. I'm so happy to see there are more books in the series. There is so much to find out!
