Historia
Eighteen-year-old Daunis Fontaine has never quite fit in, both in her hometown and on the nearby Ojibwe reservation. She dreams of a fresh start at college, but when family tragedy strikes, Daunis puts her future on hold to look after her fragile mother. The only bright spot is meeting Jamie, the charming new recruit on her brother Levi’s hockey team. Yet even as Daunis falls for Jamie, she senses the dashing hockey star is hiding something. Everything comes to light when Daunis witnesses a shocking murder, thrusting her into an FBI investigation of a lethal new drug.

Historia
As a child, Sheila Wise Rowe was bused across town to a majority white school, and she experienced the racist lie that one group is superior to all others. We experience ongoing racial trauma as this lie is perpetuated by the action or inaction of the government, media, viral videos, churches, and within families of origin. In contrast, scripture declares that we are all fearfully and wonderfully made.

Healing Indeed!
Revisado: 12-19-20
Thankful for this work! Highly recommend for BIPOC followers of Jesus, it was a healing balm to listen to so many stories as well as to be encouraged through the prayer and journal prompts. Also, recommend for our White brothers and sisters to gain a better understanding of what they're brothers and sisters of color endure, have endured.

Historia
During our chaotic times, discover five forgotten values that can spark internal growth and help us reconcile our Christian faith with the complexities of race, sexuality, and social justice. Most believers live in the state of "being a Christian" without ever being deeply formed by Christ. Our pace is too frenetic to be in union with God, and we don't know how to quiet our hearts and minds to be present. Our emotions are unhealthy and compartmentalized.

Exceptional

A holistic resource on what is means to live for Jesus all areas of life. As someone who is focused on equipping the local church in the area of discipleship, I found this book to be comprehensive, inspiring and relevant. I also appreciated the cultural, ethnic connections that were made throughout as disciples are diverse yet formation remains the same, always focused on Christ-likeness.
