Historia
Piece of Work is the story of a spicy Jewish girl who tried to become a sweet Christian wife—and failed miserably. Caught between expectations from two opposing worldviews, Danielle sought love like an addict chasing a drug. After years of tumbling through life searching for that missing piece, she finally found true love, forgiveness, and empathy within herself.

Danielle,
I Just finished listening to your book this evening on the ride home from work … wow! Very powerful - your openness and candor about yourself, your weaknesses and struggles were very sobering.
I wanted to get something out to you right away – kind of initial reaction. I know that I am not going to be able to fully articulate how powerful I found your book.
All of us have “sins that so easily ensnare us” (Hebrews 12:1). As we are told in the Scriptures, whatever is not of faith is sin (Galatians 3:12), so regardless of how our lack of faith manifests itself, it is still sin. Some sins are manifested in outward actions, words, and choices we make that we make and hate. While others sins are cloaked in thoughts and attitudes; some who think they have it all together, generally, do not see their sin of pride. Often, those whose sins are not outwardly manifested in actions a very judgmental and unforgiving of those whose sins are manifested in actions and words (e.g., anger and abuse, physical, emotional, or verbal).
Your honesty in confronting your weaknesses and struggles should provide a wakeup call to all who read your book to challenge themselves and ask themselves are they truly addressing sin in their lives vs. excusing thoughts, ideas, words, actions, and other forms of unbelief.
I really did enjoy how you, when examining your heart, actions, or thoughts, went back to the Scriptures for the answers you needed. As I listen to you, questioning your own salvation and security in Christ, I thought of how many times in my walk I have had the same questions. I actually no longer find it surprising to hear believes challenge themselves because of their failings and their own shortcomings to the high calling of Christ.
As I have told others and reassured myself - the lost do not ask these questions of themselves; they do not regret their failings for their failing but for the consequences of the fall.
Anyway, I think I’m rambling. I’m not a writer, but I wanted to let you know I found your book amazing challenging and inspiring. If there is anything I have written that is confusing or sounds weird and you want me explain what I am trying to say better just let me know.
I see you are working on your second book I will definitely get a copy of that too when available.
Oh, by the way, one last thought. I honestly thought your book would be, I don’t want to call it a “chick book,” but was for women because of your battle with breast cancer. It wasn’t. Your discussion of your cancer, your decisions, and your treatment brought back a lot of memories about Terry and her fight with cancer and a lot of tears.
