Historia
A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. A strange collection of very curious photographs. As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets 16-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. And somehow—impossible though it seems—they may still be alive.

Narration is better at 1.1 speed
Revisado: 07-15-16
people have complained about the narrator's voice , but I found it to be much better at a slightly accelerated speed. great story

Historia
Amos Decker's life changed forever - twice. The first time was on the gridiron. A big, towering athlete, he was the only person from his hometown of Burlington ever to go pro. But his career ended before it had a chance to begin. On his very first play, a violent helmet-to-helmet collision knocked him off the field for good and left him with an improbable side effect - he can never forget anything.

Story was pretty good, but the narration wasn't
Revisado: 10-01-15
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
This book was pretty fun to listen to. The book reminded me a bit of Stephen Kings Mr. Mercedes. The main character is an overweight, suicidal, retired cop that is forced back into the work by a calculating murderer.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy ?
The only criticism that I have is that the dual narration was a bit annoying.
