Great perspective on baptism
Revisado: 09-20-19
A great sermon that refutes baptismal regeneration without faith. Those who still believe in baptismal regeneration with faith will find in the last 10 minutes or so a good defense of Spurgeon’s conviction on believer’s baptism

Historia
Many people will remember Eric Liddell as the Olympic gold medalist from the Academy Award-winning film Chariots of Fire. Famously, Liddell would not run on Sunday because of his strict observance of the Christian Sabbath, and so he did not compete in his signature event, the 100 meters, at the 1924 Paris Olympics. He was the greatest sprinter in the world at the time, and his choice not to run was ridiculed by the British Olympic committee, his fellow athletes, and most of the world press.

Timeless and relevant

I confess that when I first read the title of this book I feared that it's just going to be a bunch of "cheap sales tactics". To my complete surprise, I found the principles outlined to be extremely profound and practical. It focuses on not just what you should do or say in the moment but rather a complete change in your value system and mindset. As a Christian, I find these principles to be solidly grounded in scripture and I am eager to practice and incorporate them into my daily life.

I would recommend this book to anyone who want to start their own business. Peter is clearly a veteran of entrepreneurship with an interesting perspective on the world and great advices. I liked Peter's challenge to the benefits of a competitive market, as well as the distinction between incremental improvements and completely new innovations. Peter makes a strong case for distribution which is so often underestimated in the engineering world. His commentary on the complementary nature of computers and people is one of the best I have heard. Finally, His simple checklist provides a good sanity check for an aspiring entrepreneur to quickly evaluate the viability of their business.
