Narration was very good indeed.

The story was excellent full of social historical details on the life of women and what they were able to do, in the kitchen in particular in Victorian times. The recipe history and the creativity of the recipes, also what people ate such as badger was very educational and interesting.

If you enjoy cooking, food and eating, and history, particularly about women in Victorian times I highly recommend this book

Great End of Series Final Story

Enjoyed the final story in the Maise Dobbs series. It’s difficult to know the this thoughtfully and historically factually correct series has ended. This final book made an excellent job of knitting all the characters and ends together. I will miss this series greatly and look forward to listening to the whole series again in the not too distant future.

I didn’t enjoy the narrator. It would have been easier to have her not try to do all the different accents. It took away from the pleasure of listening to a great book.

A must read

I learned much about America and the Vietnam war from this book. It is amazingly well written, and a deep meaningful account of what happened to a generation who went to serve their country. I couldn’t put this book down, and I did not want the story to end. I love all of Kristen Hannah’s books, but this has to be the best so well written and so well told

An interesting and amusing storyline, also thought provoking. Would be good for a car journey, or other travel, or while doing chores.

The narration was excellent as was the dialogue. I recommend this book.

Fascinating History

A very interesting diary, about women thru fabric and fashion. Enjoyed and would recommend it takes us away from our daily life and the life of another era of women’s lives.

Heartbreaking

I didn’t know much about Britany only what I glanced at in the tabloids. I am so overwhelmed by her bravery and honesty. Her story is incredible and interesting and I recommend this book.

Interesting story

This story read by Prince Harry was interesting and honest. I especially enjoyed hearing about his military life. It is sad as expected but also inspirational. My hope is Harry will find the peace and happiness with his new family and bravely found new life in California
