Historia
Juggling Elephants tells a simple but profound story about a universal problem - too much to do, too many priorities, too much stress, too little time. If your life has gotten as crazy as a three-ring circus, this book will really help you get your priorities straight.

I don't recommend the audio version
Revisado: 10-11-18
i'm sorry Audible! I've been such a loyal fan of audiobooks for such a long time that to recommend the paper version over the audio seems to violate some level of trust on my part. While I feel that this book is definitely worth the listen, if you have a few hours to read it, if it would even take normal people that long, I would recommend reading it instead. It occurs to me after the fact that maybe the Saturday morning kids show type dialogue and voice inflection was purposeful, possibly intended to coincide with the circus themed title and premise? It had no such positive effect with me. I do my sincere best not to take myself too seriously, but it was a struggle to look past these base level irritations and gain the intended knowledge, which we have been using practically in a training I've been doing this last year, and which I do believe has value. that said, swim at your own risk. Read on!

Historia
When mechanic and shapeshifter Mercy Thompson attempts to return a powerful Fae book she'd previously borrowed in an act of desperation, she finds the bookstore locked up and closed down. It seems the book contains secret knowledge - and the Fae will do just about anything to keep it out of the wrong hands.

So much for not being a romance novel
Revisado: 07-16-17
I love the story, but all the lovy- doveyness is getting distracting. I think it's hilarious that half the reviews I read about the very first book made it very clear that it was NOT a romance novel despite the cover. the novel in the cover are starting to come together... I can't believe I just said that.

Historia
At the conclusion of The Mark of Athena, Annabeth and Percy tumble into a pit leading straight to the Underworld. The other five demigods have to put aside their grief and follow Percy's instructions to find the mortal side of the Doors of Death. If they can fight their way through the Gaea's forces, and Percy and Annabeth can survive the House of Hades, then the Seven will be able to seal the Doors from both sides and prevent the giants from raising Gaea. But, Leo wonders, if the Doors are sealed, how will Percy and Annabeth be able to escape?

Any additional comments?
I certainly agree with the vast majority of the reviews posted thus far. If possible, narrators should never be switched, and this one made the switch more frustrating than most. However, I was able to compensate for the very . . . slow . . . diction . . . by doubling the reading speed on my ipod and by listening to the book in long segments to help accustom myself to the new, choppier rate. While I regret the necessity of these tactics, the end result is that the book was not ruined for me. I still greatly enjoyed the story, but I sincerely hope that the original narrator - or at least an equivalently energetic one - ends the series.
