The narrators voice was great. It didn't feel sterotyipical. I liked that one of the characters was afro-latina. It was entertaining from start to finish. I with the story was longer so I can keep listening.

There are so many things to love about the story. The learning of Native American culture, the constant reference to elders and respecting them, and the portrayal of community that seems lost in today's modern society. I was intrigued from start to finish. I finished this book in less than a week. I only wish I knew of the next thing to read/listen to that could compare to this. Big thanks to the author for being faithful to honor the inspiration to write the story and have it published.

I have been looking for stories with women of color as the lead. This one did not disappoint. It wasn't overly predictable. It wasn't sexually graphic and it didn't use curse word excessively. I'm glad I got it.
