Tons of good advice and lists.

I got this book to listen on a long drive as I have been struggling to be a better parent as well. I feel a lot of good advice and resources were mentioned in the book and in an approachable manner.
Obviously some advice are to be taken with a grain of salt as every parent will have their own unique experiences and reasons for things, but the author actually recognizes and acknowledges that and tries to address something for various types of dads.
Honestly, my only issue with the book was the Narrator. The Narrator was good for the most part, but everytime they pronounced trebuchet, my eye twitched.
I will leave it up to prospective listeners, or readers if seeking a written copy, to find out why a dad parenting book has trebuchet mentioned at all, let alone multiple times.
I am currently listening to the book a second time to write down the various resources mentioned.

Amazing narration, the rest.. not so much...

wonderful listen

Listened to this book during a couple days while driving across the U.S., the narrator's have a wonderful array of voices and evoke a lot of emotion from their read. During parts of the book I found my eyes tearing and throat tighten with sorrow at losses, likewise I found myself grinning stupidly during parts I found funny.

I almost finished the book through sheer willpower during drives...do not suffer as I have.
The narrator is okay, I will give them kudos as I can only imagine how many retakes they have had to take to manage reading the book off as it is written.
It sounds like this book may have first been written in a foreign language, then poorly translated with an auto translate program, then topped off with the "editor" going through and picking the most "elaborate" upgrade for each word. even common English word phrases are butchered with alternate words.
it's possible the book may be technically grammatically correct...bit if so it is not smoothly done and I feel the book was put through 0 revision processes after the words were spilled onto paper.
I will be submitting a request to have my account refunded for this "listen".
