Great conclusion to this series.
Revisado: 07-25-20
This book was well written: Spoiler alert if you continue reading.
The narration by Kevin Pierce is as expected, nothing short of excellent.
The story, toward the end, left me thinking that I had "figured" it out. Thought that the ending would be at the farm where the group would go down in a shoot out, and I was kind of bummed out that the end would be this lame. Although going out in a shoot out would have made for a great action scene ending to another really good book. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I was wrong and as Mark Goodwin is so "good" at doing, the twist was great. I was thinking, how can you guys, the characters in the book, be soooo lame, Craig is buying time to turn you in to the GU!
Although I had figured out that "Craig" was a scumbag well before the end of the book, and kind of figured that he would turn the group members in to the GU toward the ending, the twist is really cool and a great lead in to the next series. Before I finished listening to the end of this book, I was already thinking, you know, it would be a cool series to see what happens to the non-raptured members of the team.
Great ending Mr. Goodwin!

Simply put, this is a really good listen.
Revisado: 05-16-20
Narration is excellent, Kevin Pierce is a fantastic narrator.
The storyline picks up where the last book left off and the only thing I HATE about the book is the cliff hanger we are left with at the end of the book. Expectantly awaiting the next book in the series.
Character development is great. The storyline is well developed and keeps your interest.
If you are a Mark Goodwin fan, this will be a great addition to your library.
If you are not a Mark Goodwin fan yet, get the first book in the series, read or listen to it and then purchase this book. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Another excellent book from Mark Goodwin
Revisado: 03-28-20
The only thing I didn't like about this book is the same thing I dislike about all of Mark Goodwin's novels....it ended much too quickly.
Humor aside, it is a wonder how the author keeps coming up with such interesting storylines, this book is great and keeps you guessing at every turn. The character development is solid and the narration by Kevin Pierce is as expected, nothing short of stellar.
Whether you are a Mark Goodwin fan or if this is the first of his novel's you have listened to or read, this book was great and I can't wait for the next book in the series to be released.

Really enjoyed this first book by Austin Chambers
Revisado: 11-10-19
For starters, I listened to this book in the Audible format.
It took a few chapters to warm up to the narrator, but by the end of the book everything was rolling along just fine. He did a really good job of separating "narration" from spoken words and with different character voices. At first he just sounded like he was "reading," as opposed to telling a story.
I don't know if this will be true for people who "read" the book, as opposed to listening to it on Audible, but through the entire audiobook, it was very hard to follow storyline transitions. When the story changed from one to another it was confusing and I had a hard time following which storyline we were on. Honestly, I can't say what the problem is, I just know that I had to rewind several times because I was confused as to which storyline we were in and rewinding helped me to figure out where we had moved on to.
Just a general note, I wish that authors and publishers would realize that swear words detract from books and DOES NOT make them better or more realistic in anyway. There is not a lot of cussing going on in this book, but it would be a major improvement if there were none to begin with.
With this being said, the story, different story lines and characters were well written. The book was very interesting to listen to and I look forward to the next book in the series being released.

Yet another great story from Mark Goodwin!
Revisado: 08-13-19
I hate to sound like a broken record, but Mark Goodwin has outdone himself....again.
It is a wonder that each of his new releases can be better than the last and so far, he has hit all of his books out of the park.
Listened to the first two chapters on the way to work and was hooked. The character development, story lines and narrator are all excellent. The only thing I can't stand is that this audiobook is only like 5 hours long and once finished, it will be another long wait til the next ones in the series are released.
Thanks again, Mark, for writing such an awesome book!

The story is great, compelling and keeps your interest....oh and there is a really cool twist with the way this book begins.
The narrator does a fantastic job and I am thrilled that the author kept her in the line up from the Ava series. A bad narrator will totally kill an audio book and Stacey Glemboski did an excellent job narrating this new book.

One of the biggest problems with audiobooks is the lack of really good narrators. Then when you get an excellent narrator and for some reason they start using someone else?????
Storyline is great. Really good character development and even though I’m a guy, love that the book is written from the female perspective.

Stacey Glemboski does a fantastic job reading this second book in the series and the storyline is excellent, just what I have come to expect from this author.
There are two things I didn't like about this book however; having to wait for it to come out after finishing book 1 in the series and now, I have to wait for the next book in the series to be published.....life as an audio book consumer just isn't fair!

A new series from Mark Goodwin?
Revisado: 08-03-18
Really like this "first" book in the series.
With that being said, I cannot put into words how much I hate it when an author changes narrators. Especially when they've settled on someone like, "Kevin Pierce," to begin with; when it comes to narrators, they just don't get much better than Kevin.
The main character in this book is a woman, so I get why the Author chose to go with a woman narrator, but I had already kind of made up my mind to be overly critical of her and I must admit, that I was ready to not like her. It's a matter of disappointment when spending your money on a book with an author that you already like, with a narrator you already like, who writes really good books, that you have already grown accustomed to and have come to like; not a guy vs gal thing. I have returned audio books because they had a terrible male narrator...just sayin.
If you, like me, had any concerns about the change in narrator, rest easy as Stacey Glemboski did an absolutely fantastic job reading this book. The author made an excellent decision when choosing to go with her and I hope that he continues to have her narrate future books in this series.
The storyline is great, character development great, simply put another great novel from author, "Mark Goodwin!"
The only thing I hated about this book was its ending.....because I had to wait for the next book in the series to come out!
