if you like the first book you will enjoy this book too. i cant wait for a third book. faye bishop and tom hawthorn are very good narrators and the performance is highly enjoyable.

i IMENSLY enjoyed this book. as the title says one of the best books ive listened to. ray porter is an amazing narrator, and andy weir never fails to impress, entertain, and amuse. the science in this book seems believable (within the context of this world) the characters are not only believable but relatable. i honestly cant wait for andy weirs next book!

the performance is GREAT but….

the narration and overall presentation is great, but the story is lacking. it isn't one that grips me and makes me want to keep going. it feels like the author tried to combine a haram novel a litrpg and a scifi novel together but missed something in all of those genres. it left me feeling bored. which is a pitty because jeff hayes and annie eliicott are two of my favorite narrators.

only problem is

so the only problem i had with the book and i dont know if it was the narrator or the author but terms and pronunciations were wrong sometimes. i.e he said he took a bow(as in a thing with which you shoot arrows) instead of bow (to bend at the waist as a show of respect) and he kept calling mmos morgues. ive NEVER heard them called that and ive been playing mmos since eq1. otherwise pretty food story

if you love to laugh this book is great.

read by the author himself, it is a story that inspires and tugs at the heart strings all the while making you belly laugh. I can not reccomend this book enough. weather you are a long time fan or never having hear of Michael McIntyre this book WILL make you laugh.
