This book is a ton of fun. It updates the classic Jane Austin story with a fantasy world and more modern sensibilities.
While reading Pride and Prejudice, I really liked the dialog and characters of the original, but found some of the details of British life and sensibilities a bit confusing or off putting. Heartstone uses the fantasy setting to emphasise relationships and character development while finding time to have some memorable monster fights.
