Historia
Israeli art restorer and occasional secret agent Gabriel Allon has a problem. He finds a prominent Swiss banker dead in front of his Raphael, and he's the prime suspect. After some diplomatic intervention, Allon is freed. However, the banker's daughter tells him that her father's French Impressionist paintings, acquired under dubious circumstances during WWII, have been stolen by the murderers. Once Allon knows about the wartime misdeeds, he is pursued by a shadowy killer known only as "the Englishman."

Great story
Revisado: 02-19-24
I liked the story but many times I couldn’t tell which character was supposed to be speaking. The narrator has every character sounding the same.

They cannot escape the feeling that someone—or something—is stalking them. Whether it was a curse from the beautiful Tamsen, the choice to follow an experimental route West, or just bad luck - the 90 men, women, and children of the Donner Party are at the brink of one of the deadliest adventures in history.

Glad I took a chance
Revisado: 05-05-23
I was on the fence about purchasing this story due to the short length of it, but when it became available in the Audible Plus Catalog I added it to my library.
It isn’t a traditional vampire story. The full cast production really enhances the story and I was kinda hoping for peek at book two at the end.
This is a story that I will listen to again.

Their subject, however, is anything but human. Deep beneath the ice, the submerged ruins of a lost civilization hold the key to the strange mutations that each scientist has encountered across the globe. When a series of sound waves trigger the ancient organisms, a new kind of evolution begins. A long-extinct life form is reborn.

It’s Okay
Revisado: 03-16-23
I had a hard time following this story. I kept having to go back and listen to preceding sections because my mind would drift off; the story just wasn’t holding my interest. There were some interesting moments where I was engaged and able to picture the scene in my mind, but unfortunately, those were few and far between for me.

Historia
In 1984, a doomsday vault was constructed on a remote island in the Arctic Ocean. Its purpose was to preserve Earth's genetic history in the event of a global catastrophe. Now, decades later, a second vault has been uncovered, this one resting where no one ever expected. And the problem is it's not ours. Yet even more curious than the vault itself is what lies inside. Seeds. Millions of seeds. Each with a genetic embryo untouched and perfectly preserved. Waiting.

Intriguing Sci-fi
Revisado: 01-30-23
The story starts out kinda slow & I lost track of which characters were good, bad and indifferent a couple of times but I stuck with it and it turned out to be a pretty good story. The narration was good. I will very likely listen to the other books in this series.

Don’t give up
Revisado: 05-08-22
Yes, the story starts out slow & hard to follow. There is a lot of jumping around and names that are hard to keep up with; but if you stick with it you will hear a really good story, one that I didn’t want to end. Parallel Earths, varying evolutionary possibilities and alternate timelines. Sounds like a Marvel movie.
Excellent job by the narrator
