a must read
Revisado: 02-20-24
another blockbuster book by Kristen Hannah. Julia also did a fantastic job on the narration. They make an excellent team together. Can’t wait for Kristen Hannah’s next book. I can’t say enough good things about this book It made me laugh and made me cry. It brought back memories of my own father, who was stationed in Vietnam from 1971 to 1973. In loving memory of my dad. First class sergeant James C Montgomery.

Historia
Sean was a seventh-grade drop-out, a dishwasher then a construction worker to help his mother and sister scrape by, and a self-described "nobody with a sad story behind him." Yet he cannot deny the glimmers of life's goodness even amid its rough edges. Such goodness becomes even harder to deny when Sean meets the love of his life at a fried chicken church potluck, and harder still when his lifelong love of storytelling leads him to stages across the southeast, where he is known and loved as "Sean of the South."

Historia
Growing up, Jenny Pentland’s life was a literal sitcom. Many of the storylines for her mother’s smash hit series, Roseanne, were drawn from Pentland’s early family life in working-class Denver. But that was only the beginning of the drama. Roseanne Barr’s success as a comedian catapulted the family from the Rockies to star-studded Hollywood—with its toxic culture of money, celebrity, and prying tabloids that was destabilizing for a child in grade school.
