Historia
West Hall, Vermont, has always been a town of strange disappearances and old legends. The most mysterious is that of Sara Harrison Shea, who, in 1908, was found dead in the field behind her house just months after the tragic death of her daughter, Gertie. Now, in present day, 19-year-old Ruthie lives in Sara's farmhouse with her mother, Alice, and her younger sister, Fawn. Alice has always insisted that they live off the grid, a decision that suddenly proves perilous when Ruthie wakes up one morning to find that Alice has vanished without a trace. Searching for clues, she is startled to find a copy of Sara Harrison Shea's diary....

Not Bad
Revisado: 02-09-22
This was a pretty good story. The narrator was ok, sometimes annoyed me how she made Ruthi sound like a 16 year beach girl. I was confused in the beginning because of how the book would jump from past to present. But overall, it was a good listen. I'm definitely going to take a look at this authors other books.

Historia
Every object has a ghost. There is a small yellow backpack - half unzipped, mouth yawning to the pavement, contents strewn around it (a banana, an exercise book, a pair of scissors) - abandoned on a suburban footpath. Ten feet away, the rubber stamp of tyres, resisting clamped brakes, mount the curb and cut across the path. The tracks come to an end at a crippled stop sign. The street, a tree-lined suburban road dappled in late-afternoon sunlight, is calm. But anyone walking past can feel the ghosts: the prickle on the back of their necks that tells them something happened here.

Story was alright but you know who the killer is immediately. The narrator was very good, I just wish there were more twists to keep it more interesting.

Historia
The Old West town of Lily, Arizona, is home to the Gilded Lily, a former theater…and bawdy house. These days, it offers theatrical productions geared to tourists, but the recent discovery of a skull, a real skull, among the props and costumes shakes everyone up. So, who do you call? The Krewe of Hunters, a special FBI unit of paranormal investigators. In this case, it’s agent Jane Everett. Jane’s also a talented artist who creates images of the dead as they once were. But the Krewe always works with local law enforcement, and here that means Sloan Trent, former Houston cop and now sheriff. His great-great-grandmother was an actress at the Gilded Lily…and she’s not resting in peace. Then more remains appear in the nearby desert. As they search for answers, using all the skills at their disposal, Jane and Sloan find themselves falling into danger — and into love.

Waste of time
Revisado: 11-08-16
I've heard practically all of the books in these series, and this one was one of the worst! The story was horrible and the narration could have been better.
The story wasn't interesting or gripping. I forced myself to finish the book whereas some other books in this series were so addictive that I just couldn't stop listening.
Luke Daniels voice for Jane was so so so bad! He made her sound like a 70 year old grandma! The way she was described and the way she sounds couldn't be more off.
I would tell listeners to move on and not waste their money/credit on this audio book. Not worth it at all!

Now: the Black Box Cinema immortalizes Hollywood’s Golden Age in its gallery of film noir tributes. But the mannequin of that Egyptian priest is hardly lifeless. He walks - and a young starlet dies a terrifying death. Movie mogul Eddie Archer’s son is charged with the grisly murder.

Good listen
Revisado: 10-29-15
I thought this was a good listen, I'm curious to know how the other books turn out in this series. The narration was good but at times he would mess up his accent, especially when he was playing the part of the grandmother...

Not great but ok
Revisado: 09-17-15
I thought the story was good at points and rambled on at others. The felt the performance by Stephen Lang was horrible... Maybe the book would have been better with someone else performing. All the voices he did sounded so wrong. The women all sounded like 79 year old toothless women from the south. Pretty disappointed...

Another amazing story in the Flynn trilogy. Kept me entertained and I didn't feel bored at all. The narration by Phil Gigante was also amazing. He puts life into the characters and makes the story much more interesting.
