Tedious
Revisado: 04-28-24
If you are obsessed with spousal abuse and guilt and victimhood, this is the book for you. There is some motion in the plot at the beginning but the book then rehashes and drags on. We listened to the end, hoping that something interesting might occur, but it never did. Both glad to see the end.

If he doesn't come up with a plan (and quickly), he could lose everything and find himself, his wife, and his shareholders in prison.

Tedious
Revisado: 04-16-23
We listened to the end in the hope that something would happen. Little did. Book is very tedious with a lot of rehashing of the plot and a lot of "feelings". I would spend my time elsewhere.

Then he suggests one last graduate-school assignment: Find someone who has influenced her family, and tell that story. Katherine decides to pursue the only family story that has eluded her all her life: the identity of the father she never knew.

Waiting
Revisado: 03-27-23
Almost done with this tedious book. So many potential plot lines to explore but nothing much happens. The characters just mill around and are painfully polite to each other. Glad it was free.

Historia
How did a young tradesman in early 18th-century Philadelphia with no money, no connections, and no formal education end up as a leading scientist, an inventor, a master diplomat - and even a Founding Father of the United States of America? He used the same resource we have inside ourselves: a capacity for self-improvement.
