Historia
After the success of her first event, which revived the fortunes of the bookstore she loves so dearly, Annie is excited to launch Redwood Grove’s first film festival. But when an infamous film critic plunges to his death during the premiere of a Hitchcock-inspired thriller, Annie’s instincts tell her that this was no accident. She soon discovers that many of the cast, crew, and guests are harboring dark secrets—from the lead actress with a scandalous past, to a film historian obsessed with protecting his vintage reel collection.

Interesting Charactets
Revisado: 03-12-25
I enjoyed the characters, they had depth. Good underlying plot beyond the current murder. Narrator is easy to listen to.

Historia
Charlie may be a proud new grandfather, but he and Diesel still have work to do at Athena College and the small Mississippi town's public library. He's too busy to deal with true-crime writer Jack Pemberton, who wants Charlie as the subject of his latest book - and who won't take no for an answer. A more appealing proposition for Charlie is spending time helping a kind, elderly man navigate the library's genealogical database. But he's shocked when he learns that the visitor's search is focused on a member of his own family: his late aunt's husband.

This series is good. Like the change up on this one of solving an old miser.

Historia
Brimming with pleasing plot twists, this heartwarming sequel to best-seller A Miracle for St. Cecilia’s demonstrates the power of prayer and the courage of compassion. Robbed by his construction partner, Barry struggles to complete a riverfront hotel and pay off menacing mobsters. But while he and dozens of other denizens of Dorsetville await God’s help, a series of events helps transform the town forever. John McDonough strikes just the right balance as he enhances Katherine Valentine’s cozy, feet-up-on-the-footstool tone with his comfortable cadence.

Molly-she was different
Have you listened to any of John McDonough’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
