a bit outdated
Revisado: 10-29-19
I'm sure the advice is still valuable and can be applied to online media, but overall this book would have been way more valuable 15 years ago.

OK for understanding habit forming
Revisado: 04-01-19
Good for understanding how and why habits form. I had expected more hands on advice on how to change my own habits as well... there is an appendix on this very topic, plus, the newer book (Smarter, Faster something...) I suppose deals with this also.
overall, ok book and storytelling. But, would have like more than just a basic understanding of the tooic.

Durant lucidly describes the philosophical systems of such world-famous “monarchs of the mind” as Plato, Aristotle, Francis Bacon, Spinoza, Kant, Voltaire, and Nietzsche. Along with their ideas, he offers their flesh-and-blood biographies, placing their thoughts within their own time and place and elucidating their influence on our modern intellectual heritage. This book is packed with wisdom and wit.

Great introduction our greatest philosophers!
Revisado: 03-19-19
This was a really good introduction and very comprehensive overview of our greatest thinkers and philosophers of our time. I find this book incredibly valuable, and would recommend it to anyone who knows little about philosophy in general.
That was me. Having always studied economics, business, management etc. I have had very little to do with philosophy, what a fascinating piece of history. To learn where (and how far back) essential questions, thoughts and science comes from is important.
Great read, and I suppose an "easy" way of getting to know the greatest philosophers and their most important works and thoughts, as opposed to reading and dissecting their individual works one by one. Highly recommended this book!

Historia
When Carol Loomis first mentioned a little-known Omaha hedge-fund manager in a 1966 Fortune article, she didn’t dream that Warren Buffett would one day be considered the world’s greatest investor - nor that she and Buffett would become close personal friends. Now Loomis has collected and updated the best Buffett articles Fortune published between 1966 and 2012, including thirteen cover stories and a dozen pieces authored by Buffett himself. Loomis has provided commentary about each major article that supplies context and her own informed point of view.

OK book
Revisado: 01-23-19
The book is made up of excerpts of articles, a cross everything important written about or by Buffet. It serves as a great walkthrough of Buffets staggering career and achievements, but, is not a literary wonder... at times, it's certainly missing some depth and personality making it at times a bit daunting to read through.
But, Buffet's achievements are in themselves impressive so it still makes for an ok read.

May need to re-listen
Revisado: 12-28-18
Finished it, but am not impressed... I also did take a long time to finish it, with too many interruptions to grasp the full sense of the book. it also contains exercises, that, if exercises may prove to make the experience a lot better. so for now, rating it at 3 stars. but I may have to relisten end to end and review again.

Are you tired of feeling f*cked up? If you are, Gary John Bishop has the answer. In this straightforward handbook, he gives you the tools and advice you need to demolish the slag weighing you down and become the truly unf--ked version of yourself. "Wake up to the miracle you are," he directs. "Here's what you've forgotten: You're a f--king miracle of being." It isn't other people that are standing in your way; it isn't even your circumstances that are blocking your ability to thrive. It's yourself and the negative self-talk you keep telling yourself.

Revisado: 12-28-18
couldn't finish it, got through chapter 2 so take my review for what it is. Too much of the same self development stereotypical catchphrases; "stop blaming everyone else, take control, take charge, be honest to yourself ", etc. I'm sure the author is a great coach in person, the audiobook just didn't get to me.

not quite what I expected
Revisado: 03-15-18
it's basically reading through names and addresses of Hotels, bicycle tours, transportation options etc for the major Italian cities.
Almost no context to the "recommended" places mentioned ... other than, "another one of our absolute favorite hotels is... etc etc".
if you are looking for just a list of places one could visit, it's a good book. if you are looking for any sort of context of what Italy has to offer, and what makes the places special or worth visiting, this is not the book to listen to.
