Disappointed

I love Sophie Kinsella, but for the first time, I was not enjoying one of her books. The main character is ridiculously trusting, naive, and somewhat whiny. Her siblings are highly annoying the entire book, at times cruel, but then in the last couple chapters make a miraculous turn around. We hardly had any interaction with the love interest until the middle of the book, and then after a week of dating they are already in love...I just couldn't buy any of it. I usually can't wait for a new release by S.K. but this one was disappointing.

Couldn’t finish

Narrator sounded much older than character, made the other characters sound whiny. The male narrator gave all the females a southern accent and pronounced Ava as Aver. I could only get through 3 chapters before I gave up so no idea of the story would’ve been good. I enjoyed the first title in this series, so disappointed that this one didn’t meet the same standards.

I just loved this book. The characters were endearing and the relationship felt real. I especially love when you start off not liking a character and then he author shows a nicer side of them and you end up falling in love with them later. Narrator was also wonderful. I couldn't stop listening. I will definitely listen to this one again.

Loved this book even though it was outside my normal read. The story is intriguing, the character funny and quirky and just makes you really feel for her. I have recommended this book again and again to friends.
