Historia
My name's Joe, and I have one job, every day: don't kill myself. I live with a complex mental illness called Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). 15% of people with BPD die by suicide, and 40% try. I'm already in the 40%. My job is to keep out of the 15%. In this book I want to try and explain what life is like when you have a brain that is essentially trying to murder you every day. It's a collection of the funny, sad and shocking stuff that has happened to me along the way.

In the stirring, highly anticipated first volume of his presidential memoirs, Barack Obama tells the story of his improbable odyssey from young man searching for his identity to leader of the free world, describing in strikingly personal detail both his political education and the landmark moments of the first term of his historic presidency - a time of dramatic transformation and turmoil.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Revisado: 04-19-21
Outstanding insight into the early years of President Obama up through the raid that killed Bin Laden. Hearing this story through the President’s own voice added a meaningful experience. At points, there was a touch of a history lesson feeling, but nevertheless Obama kept it light and to the point. Always adding personal insights and information. Clear & concise. I learned a lot. Not just about who Obama is as a person and what thoughts and decisions led to his paths and choices but about our country as a whole. Very well written with just the right amount of humor. I was pleasantly surprised at the slights and little personal jabs he sent to other politicians. I found myself deep into him explaining a scenario, then just as it felt we may be going a little too deep, there was a zinger that I couldn’t help but laugh at. Well balanced and well written. I highly recommend listening on Audible. Nothing beats hearing him tell his own story. Eagerly anticipating Volume 2.
Thank you, Mr President. Thank you for sharing this amazing story with all of us.
