Fascinating story and well performed.

I got this title with a free credit and I hesitated starting it for a while, but I was so glad once I did. The backstory only took the first chapter and the wild ride was off and running with chapter two. I found the book to be engrossing and almost all consuming. I was listening whenever I got free time. It was well thought out and an interesting take on AI and humanities future. I highly recommend this to any Science fiction fan. I'm looking forward to seeing how the story continues in the next books.

Enjoyable, but not as engaging.
Revisado: 12-01-20
I am a big fan of the first book and have listened to the Audible version many times. I was anxiously awaiting this novel and was not let down, but was also not as thrilled as I had hoped. The story was interesting after you get past the first two hours, which were pretty slow. The first book centered around video gaming in many ways and I was able to relate to much of the material. In this new novel the story has more to do with other aspects of 80s pop culture, which I was not as familiar. So that is probably why I wasn't as engaged in the story this time. But other readers may know more about those aspects of the 80s and find this story better than the last. So, your mileage may vary! This is a must read/listen if you loved the first book, because it picks up the story and gives some closure. Happy listening!

Probably my favorite Harry Potter book
Revisado: 11-25-20
This book has it all. Great story, great new characters, and it pulls you in to the magical universe of Harry Potter.
The narration is spot on as always and as soon as the book ends you'll be eagerly wanting to start the next book in the series. Enjoy!

Felt more like an epilogue to the first novel
Revisado: 11-25-20
I did enjoy this book. It answered a lot of the questions I had after the first novel ended. That said, it did feel more like an epilogue than a stand alone novel, ...in my opinion. The story line was good, and it was good to hear what happened to Paul, the Freman, and other characters. I'm on the fence about going to book 3, but I probably will...

Entertaining book
Revisado: 11-25-20
I've always been a big fan of the movie, Clue. So when I was looking for my next Audible book I typed Clue into the search to see what would come up. I saw this title and that it was the first in a series of novels. I love series novels because you don't have to go through character introductions each time... And while it has nothing to do with the movie I was intrigued by the use of the same character names and wanted to see how the author put it all together. I found the story to be entertaining and the characters engaging. I wasn't particularly fond of the narrator at first, but I have to admit she did grow on me.
After completing the book I did get the second in the series, which picks up where the first left off. I'm interested to see how things develop. I'd recommend this book to anyone who is looking for an easy to listen to, and follow, murder mystery who done it novel.
