Each of them is one in a million. They number 6,000 on a planet of six billion. They run our governments, our largest corporations, the powerhouses of international finance, the media, world religions, and, from the shadows, the world's most dangerous criminal and terrorist organizations. They are the global superclass, and they are shaping the history of our time.

A small window to the global ruling class
Revisado: 09-05-21
This book is a basic to those that know nothing about the world of the ruling class; the super rich and those in power in the world.
The books is basic. It cover very general and things that most people knows about.
It gives an overview of how things are, or were because was published in 2008. And 2008 was so long ago and the world is no longer the same. But it gives to glimpse of how things was then and how things are now and compare.
This book has some truth but don't trust every thing in this book and don't trust everything in any book.
This book does give you pieces of information to understand the world of the elite.

The Future is here
Revisado: 05-08-21
This book is one of best book I ever read, or heard in this case because is an Audible book.
A great book. It describe the effort and the journal of Jennifer Doudna from a little to the present day create a process to lead to CRISPR, and winning the Nobel Price in 2020.
This book is about the story of Jennifer Doubna.
This book is NOT about mRNA vaccine or what mRNA vaccine is.
The writer of this book Walter Isaacson and Jennifer Doubna DO NOT know how China works. Neither Walter Isaacson or Jennifer Doubna understand the Chinese Communist government. They think that everything the Chinese scientist does because of their own action and by their own accord. When a Chinese government fund the research or fund the company, the scientist will be given directions on the which technology to proceed and what to say the media.
But all and all, this is a great book and I shall listen to this book again.

Waste of time. Below Average. Full of Fluff.
Revisado: 07-09-20
The book uses acronyms and fancy big words in trying to be smart. This book is from the perception of a marketing or some sort of business development person. Talking about technical things using big words that sound good but make no sense. I'm in the a computer engineer in I.T. field for 25 years, I know what technical and technology book should sound like. This book talks a lot about common sense stuff in marketing and lots of theories. All theories works when you talk about it. But doesn't work most of the time.
After you listen to a chapter you will wonder what did you just heard and completely forgot it because it didn't say anything.
This is a not an AI technical book. Not a book about AI. It is a book about marketing and AI and full fluff that sound good but saying nothing. A waste of my time.

Indeed, as the US-Sino AI competition begins to heat up, Lee urges the US and China to both accept and to embrace the great responsibilities that come with significant technological power.

Great book.
Revisado: 07-06-20
This book paint a picture of the current China's AI development. It's a good book. I paint a good picture of the Chinese government as well. It somewhat reveal a picture of china's AI industry. I don't believe the good picture painted of the Chinese government in the book. But I don't blame the Kai-Fu Lee for not putting anything bad about the Chinese Government.
Listen to this book for the Technical detail and know what is to come. But don't believe everything you hear in this book.
It is too Rosy of a picture and full of good feeling stories. Still a good book.

Very bad. No knowledge. Bad writing . Bad Reader
Revisado: 04-21-20
The book is a total complete waste of time.
This book a bad attempt of motivation speaking on Government contracting.
There is no technical, no real concrete knowledge transfer.
This stupid book does not tell you anything.
Like listening to an annoying motivation speaker repeating the same thing over and over again.
Bad Writer
Bad voice reader.

Historia
The media often suggest that Russia poses the greatest threat to America's national security, but the real danger lies farther east. While those in power have been distracted and disorderly, China has waged a six-front war on America's economy, military, diplomacy, technology, education, and infrastructure - and they're winning. It's almost too late to undo the shocking, though nearly invisible, victories of the Chinese. In Stealth War, retired Air Force Brigadier General Robert Spalding reveals China's motives and secret attacks on the West.

Revisado: 11-29-19
Really good book.
Ray Porter - He is the best Narrator. Best book Narrator.
This book by Brigadier General Robert Spalding is a great book. It is must read.
The only thing thing in this book that is completely insane is that the General Robert Spalding said that China is developing a bio weapon that only kill white people. LOL. This is beyond stupid and beyond paranoid. Everything else is plausble and China is doing it. But kill they can develop a bio weapon that will kill Caucasian only? LOL
Please. This is about a totalitarian regime that is wanting world domination. Please don't make it about a race war. This is So Fucking stupid.
