Historia
Lady Victoria Hamilton has a supernatural gift, a fiancé, and a guardian angel. She just never expected her protector to be the most dazzling man in England, a devilish scoundrel they call the Blue Bastard. Victoria has agreed to marry for duty, not love, but her unforeseen desire for her mystical angel threatens to destroy not only her plans for the future, but the armor surrounding her susceptible heart.

Very Disappointing!!!
Revisado: 10-12-20
This is my first book by Tracy Sumner, and possibly my last.
The characters seemed interesting and the theme inviting. I was excited to listen to this audio book as the summary boasted a promising story. However, I was greatly disappointed!!
First, not sure if there was a proper depiction of anything British or English. For a historical romance novel set in England, that was poor.
Second, the narrator, Kimberley M. Witherell sounded American and showcased a bad British accent. In fact, her narration was the main thing that ruined this book for me. I had to listen attentively and not make a sound just to hear and understand what she was saying. I can't comprehend it; there seemed to be something wrong somewhere. Due to this, it took me longer to listen to than most books I've listened to. Initially, I thought it might be the writing, but I concluded that it had to be the narrator. It was a well written book but the narration was so difficult to follow.
Third, despite having been well written, the story was quite boring. There didn't seem to be any point to it. No solid plot. There wasn't any real barrier to keep the hero and heroin apart in the first place, but it looked like the author was trying to find a challenge that had to be overcome in order to make up her story and plot; it was so weak. The whole story was much ado about nothing.
Fourth, there were so many sub-stories that weren't developed; they lacked any build-up, follow-up, or/and conclusion. Nothing about Victoria's parents. Her lady's maid Agnes seemed forgotten. What did the Baron have over Victoria's dad. A file was mentioned, and that was it. The big secret dream and finding his sister was a big anti-climax... and the reveal was a huge let down.
I really didn't like this book and wanted to give up reading it so many times, but kept thinking things would get better. I was wrong!!
Not interested in the rest of the League of Lords series.
