Historia
Six years is a long time, but memories and his harsh teachings are what remain imprinted upon Auska's soul...and, in the end, his compassion - sacrifice - for her, a girl who was nothing more than a burden thrust upon his solitary ways. Sanctuary is safe and secure with its strict policies, offering a life anyone on the outside of its walls would kill to have; the world has only grown crueler and more dangerous through the years. The cure was a farce, and even if it hadn't been, the technology and resources have long since been depleted in the crumbling world of man.

Just, wow!

TJ Pohlman’s abilities did not disappoint for the second time hearing him narrate. His ability to capture the personality of each character in his voice allowing the reader to differentiate between them is flawless.
Pohlman’s narrating skills mixed with James Fuller’s writing ability made this story one that was hard to stop listening to. This was the perfect end to the dystopian story that I very much enjoyed. I can’t wait for the prequel, What Began, to learn how this all started. What a ride.

Historia
Ten years has passed since an infectious virus nearly consumed all of mankind. Millions died, millions more became infected, changed, and turned into mindless, feral hunters bent on the consumption of living flesh. Archer was a solitary man, scavenging what he could to survive off the ruins of the world that no longer existed. A world gone mad, where those who still lived were just as great of threat as those who were infected.

Narration: I’ve never listened to an audiobook before but I must say, I’m overly impressed with how Timothy portrayed each character abs his ability to have a unique voice for each one. It made it easy to follow along in the story and understand who was talking without him introducing the next speaker. Bravo!
Story: OH MY WORD this story was captivating! This is the second novel I’ve read/listened to by James Fuller and I am utterly impressed. I’m a fan of apocalyptic stories, so I was definitely excited to dive into this and his delivery did not disappoint. James knows how to draw in the reader with imagery, suspense, and plot. The story was never dull and the ending made me nearly cry. I can’t wait to read book two and strongly recommend for anyone interested in apocalyptic stories, or if you’re just curious what this is about, read it now!
