Loved this book!
Revisado: 03-18-25
I’ve been on a Courtney Walsh kick and this didn’t disappoint. This has so many quotes I found myself needing to remember. I’ve also struggled with happiness and being seen and found myself relating SO much with Isadora. The narrator was perfect! Definitely recommend! :)

Historia
There’s nothing like experiencing the most humiliating breakup in history for a serious wake-up call. After getting dumped over the radio, with millions of listeners tuning in, my life is in serious need of a do-over. Trying to please everyone else isn’t working, so it’s time to focus on me. But not everyone is on board with the new Perci—my overbearing mother is still dreaming about me walking down the aisle with my awful ex. To keep her far away from my love life, I made up an imaginary boyfriend.

I loved the book so much. The narrator did an amazing job bringing all the characters to life. This made me just want to fall in love. I loved the family drama too that ended in healing. Percy’s self confidence was amazing to watch. Listen to this. You won’t regret it.

Opened my heart again
Revisado: 05-29-24
A friend recommended this book to me after she listened to it. It took me a while to get into it as I’m
not the hugest fan of romance or fiction. But both seem to be changing this year. The characters kept me engaged the entire time and this is the first audiobook I’ve bookmarked clips for. I even bought the next two books in the series. The story gave me hope that even from a distance you can find love, purpose and belonging and it can be better than you imagined.

Historia
What if searching for “the one” is getting in the way of your journey of self-discovery? What if singlehood wasn’t just a stepping stone to marriage? As a single 20-something in search of answers to these questions, author and entrepreneur Esther Marie leans into self-discovery and finds a life of boundless adventure. Living in the tension of uncertainty about the future, Esther chronicles eight years of her life, including awkward dating stories, solo travels, deconstructed beliefs, refueled faith, a near-death encounter with a bear, and way too many camping trips.

Needed encouragement.
Revisado: 02-14-24
I haven’t struggled too much with my singleness —for the most. I’ve loved getting to spend uninterrupted time with family and friends and make new ones. Read books. Try new things. Go back to my youth. But the longing to have a partner is still there.
This book helped me see the value in friendship and the gift I’m getting to know someone even if they aren’t your person. I loved hearing Esther’s story and the way she told it. Definitely going to be reading Blue like jazz and visiting salvation mountain because of this book. This book got me through two breakups. So grateful. Definitely recommend.

This book is going to make me think about the fruit of the spirit for awhile and how God can heal. Leah gave me hope that God first and foremost loves all of you, even your imperfect body and another can too when you let them in. I have cerebral palsy so this book gave me a lot of hope after reading. Can't wait to read Book 2 and more by Ted Dekker. Loved that it was collaborative effort too.
Only thing that was a little difficult was how some characters voices sounded like the same character when it was a different character.
