The narrator has done zero research. He mispronounces Hugh’s last name. And Clan Bouda, he says “booda”. He also gives Angela and Raphael an accent like Ascanio, even though they’ve lived in Atlanta all their lives. Dali has turned into Dalli.

Terrible performance

This dramatisation felt like it was only odd music in the background with some sound effects thrown in. Almost all the narrators felt wooden and like they were just reading from a page. The audiobook with Renée Raudman narrating gave more life to the different characters.

Never doubt the brilliance of Ilona Andrews

It’s Ilona Andrews. You’ll love it. I love it. Why did I wait so long to listen to this? Because I was temporarily insane and stupid.

I don’t love Rene Raudman. For me me she sounds a little weird, like an old lady. But the brilliance of her narration and Ilona Andrews I get past it quickly and enjoy the story.

I vow to never to postpone another Ilona Andrews and Rene Raudman again!

When does it end?!

Narrator is fine. I just dislike the characters or the book think.
The book is too long! After reading (on kindle, not holding the book obvi. you see where you are) og listening, you develop a sense to where in the book or storyline you are. And I though I was close to the end. Check the time and have 3 hours to go!!
I don't get the rock chick thing. The character feels false. She is like "Nuh-uh. I dont do that. I'm a rock chick." And that makes it feel fake.

I liked the story. There are some ridiculous things in there. But I can see past them.
What really annoyed me during this story was the narrator incapable of using the right dialect for the Mexican American character, while using "Spanish" words. Every time she said "chickita" I cringe, and it distracts me from the story or the scene. And that word comes up a lot, or it feels like it.

What did you like best about Getting Schooled? What did you like least?

The story was so-so. Not especially original. But with the humor it was quite enjoyable.

What about Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt ’s performance did you like?

I love Zachary Webber in this!!! Andi is awesome as always.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

If I would have been shown more romance. Romantic gestures.
