Historia
In the not-too-distant future, a 21-member crew launches from Earth. Their mission: to establish a temporary colony on Mars. Little do they know that colony will become permanent–and the last stand of the human race. Because, without warning, every single person left on Earth simply...vanishes. Now, a thousand years later, the resources needed to sustain life are running out, and the very existence of the Mars colony is threatened. Humankind has only one option–to return to its home planet.

I’m not sure I liked the ending. I feel like something’s were left out that should not have been.

Very good. I have been familiar with Lord Soth from so many other of the Dragonlance saga and am satisfied with this origin story.

Historia
Graduate student Tom Rice is thrilled to embark on his first deep-space archeological expedition. He is part of a team from Earth, venturing out in search of artifacts from a civilization that ruled the universe many millennia ago. Called the High Ones, the members of this long-gone society left tantalizing clues about their history and culture scattered throughout space. One such clue, a "message cube" containing footage of the ancient ones, is more interesting than all of the others combined. It seems to indicate that the High Ones aren't extinct after all.

i would love to know more about the universe this takes place and more about the brother-sister relationship. Very compelling, more like a long short story. I can't help but think Robert had larger plans for this,

Pain is not a problem, our pride is…
Revisado: 08-28-23
At its best, pain is an opportunity for us and those around us to test the limits of our faith. At its worst, it is God giving us a chance to turn and repent from our sin. I am so glad Lewis was not alway a Christian. Next version of the Bible should include this at least as an apendix.

Historia
The Light of Other Days tells the tale of what happens when a brilliant, driven industrialist harnesses the cutting edge of quantum physics to enable people everywhere, at trivial cost, to see one another at all times: around every corner, through every wall, into everyone's most private, hidden, and even intimate moments. It amounts to the sudden and complete abolition of human privacy - forever.

Good but should have left mystery’s to the reader
Revisado: 08-28-23
Worth the read but as yet unknowns would have been better left to the readers bias imagination instead of the author forcing his limited knowledge and belief on the reader.

In the midst of a Manhattan snowstorm, Mike Hammer halts the violent robbery of a pair of college sweethearts who have stumbled onto a remarkable archeological find in the Valley of Elah: the perfectly preserved femur of what may have been the biblical giant Goliath. Hammer postpones his marriage to his faithful girl Friday, Velda, to fight a foe deadlier than the mobsters and KGB agents of his past: Islamic terrorists and Israeli extremists bent upon recovering the relic for their own agendas.

Great pulp mystery
Revisado: 06-20-23
I used to love watching Stacey Keach as Mike Hammer on tv as a kid but western pulp and murder mystery’s have never been my thing. I was not disappointed in picking this as lighter fair from classics and hard moderns.

The first book written by C.S. Lewis after his conversion, The Pilgrim's Regress is, in a sense, a record of Lewis's own search for meaning and spiritual satisfaction that eventually led him to Christianity.

Lewis is an amazing author who if you read enough of his work get the most lifelong view of his pursuit of God. This book is his first after conversion to Christianity. Great book.

Glad I read it. Wished I hadn’t…
Revisado: 06-16-23
No psychopath that I know of has actually ever had the clarity of mind to write down what they were thinking, when they were doing their worst, but this might be too much of an insight for most people. If this is fantasy, of a compulsive narcissist, you might find it interesting, if this is a diary of a psychopath, you will be left wanting for justice. As the title says, glad I read it, wish I hadn’t, I will never recommend it to anyone, and if someone else brings it up.,,, I will have lots of questions.

The Real “1st Avenger”
Revisado: 06-06-23
This is not as I had always understood it to be a revenge story. More so Gods vengeance is dished out by a man who seeks justice. Everyone gets what they deserve, everyone else learns the lessons they should, and anyone who should get a happy ending does. Not a single loose end.
