Historia
Here is the novel that will be forever considered a triumph of the imagination. Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of the boy Paul Atreides, who would become the mysterious man known as Maud'dib. He would avenge the traitorous plot against his noble family and would bring to fruition humankind's most ancient and unattainable dream.

Story is solid, performance is so bad
Revisado: 10-18-22
Just like other reviews say, the narrator does a great job, but the characters are voiced by actors some of the time and by the narrator at others, even in the same scene. There’s no rhyme or reason for it. It’s jarring and makes it incredibly difficult to keep track of who’s speaking. Sad because the story is very good

Historia
Ken Follett follows up his number one New York Times best seller Fall of Giants with a brilliant, pause-resisting epic about the heroism and honor of World War II, and the dawn of the atomic age. Winter of the World picks up right where the first book left off, as its five interrelated families - American, German, Russian, English, Welsh - enter a time of enormous social, political, and economic turmoil, beginning with the rise of the Third Reich, through the Spanish Civil War and World War II.

THIS IS THE ABRIDGED VERSION
Revisado: 08-16-21
You have to look closely at the cover but this is the shortened abridged version not the full story. It is good but I wondered why the characters weren’t as fully developed etc in this one and come to find out there is a full version that is 31 hours and this one that is 8. They both have the same title. So disappointed
