Historia
A nine-year-old boy is found murdered at the bottom of a well near a popular beach resort in southern Italy. Faced with small-town racism, Guido attempts to exploit the esoteric workings of the Italian courts. The voice of Sean Barrett brings this gritty Italian detective series to life.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No.
Any additional comments?
Book was translated from the Italian and takes place, with great detail, in a city no one is likely to be familiar with. made it harder to follow. Also the Italian legal system is very different from US, and as this is a legal thriller (not!) its tough to stick with the narrative when it is not intuitive to American law.

Too long!!!
Revisado: 06-04-13
What did you like best about The Panther? What did you like least?
His books tend to be drawn out affairs with just enough wit to keep you reading, but the plots really are tedious, and too transparent to warrant 20+ hours of listening.

Here is one of the great autobiographies of the English language - exuberant, wonderfully contemporary in spirit, by a man twice as large as life who—he said so himself—had no trouble remembering everything that had ever happened to him and a lot of things besides.

Would you try another book from Mark Twain and Charles Neider (editor) and/or Michael Anthony?
Love Twain books, but this one does not do well in audio format, reader is a bummer, and not Twain's best work

Not worth a credit
Revisado: 10-02-12
What would have made The Sixth Man better?
A more realistic story line would be a good start. Then just one narrator. Stopped after an hour, just refused to waste my time. I have not found this series / these two main characters particularly worthwhile: plots just too unrealistic for my tastes.
What could David Baldacci have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Better plot.
Would you be willing to try another one of Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy ’s performances?
No
