Historia
February 1862. The Civil War is less than one year old. The fighting has begun in earnest, and the nation has begun to realize it is in for a long, bloody struggle. Meanwhile, President Lincoln’s beloved eleven-year-old son, Willie, lies upstairs in the White House, gravely ill. In a matter of days, despite predictions of a recovery, Willie dies and is laid to rest in a Georgetown cemetery. “My poor boy, he was too good for this earth,” the president says at the time. “God has called him home.”

There will be a college-level course on this

Ken Burns meets Steven King meets Dante. That pretty much covers it. I found myself wanting to see this as a stage play. Yes, you would have to snip a bit, but it would be splendid. It took about 30 minutes of listening to "get" where we were. Be patient, its worth it. Lincoln in the Bardo may change your perspective on life, death, and all the pieces in between.
Good performances by all cast.

Historia
"Anthony Trent, Master Criminal" (1918) is a novel by Wyndham Martyn. Conington Warren, one of the most popular men in society, member of the desirable clubs, millionaire owner of thoroughbreds was victim of a burglary of ten thousand dollars' worth of valuables. His flawless butler seems to be deceived by the crook, since Warren was at a dinner while the butler thought he was smoking in the library. The crook looked like a gentleman who might belong to Warren's clubs, and spoke like one, and had a handwriting exactly like Warren.

Sorry I purchased this one

What disappointed you about Anthony Trent, Master Criminal (Anthony Trent 1)?
The narrator for a novel with mostly male characters should be a male. I could not follow who was speaking and the high pitch of Ms. Collins voice made this novel near impossible to follow.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Caroline Collins?
Scott Brick, Charles Constant, or Jeff Woodson
Any additional comments?
I think there is potential with the series.

Historia
Dirk Pitt, the director of the National Underwater and Marine Agency, is on the Black Sea, helping to locate a lost Ottoman shipwreck, when he responds to an urgent Mayday - "under attack!" - from a nearby freighter. But when he and his colleague, Al Giordino, arrive, there is nobody there. Just dead bodies, a smell of sulfur in the air, and, as Pitt and Giordino explore, a blast from the stern that scuttles the ship swiftly, almost taking them with it.
