Historia
After an extravagant honeymoon, Hannah's eager to settle down in Lake Eden and turn domestic daydreams into reality. But when her mother's neighbor is discovered murdered in the condo downstairs, reality becomes a nightmarish investigation. Victoria Bascomb, once a renowned stage actress, was active in the theater community during her brief appearance in town...and made throngs of enemies along the way. Did a random intruder murder the woman, as police claim, or was a deadlier scheme at play?

???When Will It Be Over???
Revisado: 07-09-23
I have been listening to this series and actually like the regular characters that show up...mother, sisters, Lisa (bakery partner), Norman...but Hannah is turning into a character I truly DO NOT LIKE. This story is particularly slow and minutely detailed in a way that shows her incredibly inconsistent thoughts about crime and her very bad choices in men. For someone who was supposedly close to her father, her man issues are astounding. The "professor" at college she didn't realize was playing her and made her shy about relationships. Her attraction to Mike who is a sleazy player who jumps any vamp that moves into his apartment building (close by & easy) and only seems to like H for her cooking, and now, married to Ross who is totally not a man of substance, has no romantic history or seemingly anything in common with H, and so condescending. Really disappointed in the characters and story lines. Don't know if I can stomach another one.

Historia
If you struggle with binge eating, emotional eating, stress eating, or if you repeatedly manage to lose weight only to gain it all back, you may be approaching things with the wrong mindset. Most contemporary thought on overeating and bingeing focuses on healing and self-love. But people who've overcome food and weight issues often report it was more like capturing and caging a rabid dog than learning to love their inner child.

Real Way to Change the Way You Eat
Revisado: 04-19-19
I am amazed at how quickly this method of thinking about the way you eat works. It is not a diet, it helps you stick to whatever way YOU decide you should eat. The message is clear and concise. The way to change your reaction to overeating, binging, eating yourself into a coma takes a little practice, but Dr. Livingston helps you get there with concepts that work.
Th only problem I have is with the narrator's voice. It is so close to one of those automated voices, I cringe every time I start listening to it again.
I am sure I will listen to this book many times and I endeavor to lose the excess weight. Never Binge Again is an amazing discovery.

Historia
"Persuasion" is the last novel of Jane Austen's. As the Napoleonic Wars come to an end in 1814, Admirals and Captains of the Royal Navy are put ashore, their work done. Anne Elliot meets Captain Frederick Wentworth after seven years, by the chance of his sister and brother-in-law renting her father's estate, while she stays for a few months with her married sister, living nearby. They fell in love the first time they met, but she broke off the engagement.

Pleasing Story, Sound Needs Work
Revisado: 11-14-17
The story of Anne Elliot & Captain Wentworth is a lovely tale of second chances. It is my favorite of Jane Austen's work.
There are several choices in Audible. I listened to the samples to find a voice that was pleasing to my ears. It took some time and I was happy to find this version. It was very pleasant until around chapter 19 or 20. The sound quality was that of someone turning off a filter that keeps recording from having a tinny/in a tunnel sound. Still clear enough to hear the story, but not so pleasant to listen to...so disappointed!!!!!
