Historia
That neighbor of mine is a cute, surly ghoul whose pretty green eyes and angry scowl just make me want to rile him up even more. We've never really been buddies, despite living side by side for three years. But when he starts working at Goliaths as our IT manager, helping to bring us into a new digital age, our lives begin to become a bit more entangled. Mainly because he starts watching me each night while I… relax. So I make sure to give him a good show through my living room window.

Historia
Being out and proud as a nonbinary person didn’t come easy, but I’ve finally found my place. I have an amazing work family at the cabaret bar where I perform, Chicago fits me better than my Texas hometown ever did, and I’m truly happy. Especially once Jameson walks into my life. Our new bartender accepts me effortlessly for who I am, and the man is more than easy on the eyes. In fact, the way he looks out for me is giving me all sorts of ideas, even though those cuddles were purely platonic. Weren’t they?

Great book, make sure you are in a good mental space to read this one
Revisado: 02-13-25
Sigh… this is a good book, it’s beautifully written, but it left me with a sad feeling. I read to escape reality and this was just too depressing and bleak…
I enjoy endings that wrap up all the loose ends and provide closure instead of ambiguous ones that make you wonder what really happened.
I personally don’t like the unknown, gives me anxiety. So be warned if you are like me.
I would love to re read this when I’m in a better mental space.

All the stars. Very sensitive topics, you will cry, you will be angry but you will also swoon, laugh, and fall in love with Max and Luke’s beautiful love story.
I wish I could write a full essay on how to convince everyone to read this but I’m still feeling a bit emotional.
I loved this story and I loved these characters as if they were part of my family.

Reluctantly taking a job as Eric Jordan's assistant becomes more than just a means to a safe haven. Working for his aloof bar patron broadens Daniel's perspectives, threatening to tear down every wall he's built around his heart as he begins to learn more about a man he's always purposely ignored. All Daniel wanted was to hide from the trouble that was following him, not have the rest of his world turned upside down by the wealthy older man who ended up being nothing he expected and everything he didn't realize he might need.

Revisado: 01-19-25
I can usually predict stories but I was surprised that this was different and I enjoyed the plot a lot.
I LOVED Eric way more than Daniel, what a beautiful man.
I want to make it clear that part of my rating is because of Riley’s cameos, he is one of my favorite characters and I’m glad I got to read more about him in this book, he is a hoot!

Historia
I am a monster. A ghoul. A demon. The bogeyman. I have been called all of them. Most creatures fear me but humans are repulsed by me. They are terrified of me. They have created legends about me ever since they became aware of my existence when the tear between our worlds grew and we—the monsters from their nightmares—flooded through in our droves. There is only one human who isn’t afraid of me, the only one who matters. I will destroy anyone who tries to hurt him or take him from me. Danny is mine.

This made me so so happy!
Revisado: 12-27-24
I’m so incredibly happy right now! This novella gave me the closure I needed, and I can finally sleep in peace knowing these beautiful humans and monsters get their very well-deserved happily ever after.
Told entirely from Wyn’s POV, this story was such a treat. Wyn’s humor had me laughing out loud, and every sweet gesture he made for Danny melted my heart. The audiobook was phenomenal—Wyn’s voice was perfectly unnerving and seductive, while Danny’s southern drawl was just the cutest thing ever. Danny absolutely shined in this book, with his mindful little habits (like not littering in Wyn’s world lol) and his sweet moments of gratitude. Every adorable conversation and low-angst interaction had me smiling non-stop.
I’m seriously so grateful to Lily for giving us this gem of a novella. It was filled with happiness and love, and now all I need is for Danny and Wyn to share their joy with the rest of the couples in the series. Everyone deserves to be this happy for thousands of years!
Also, Orlith?! Hello! He was so sassy and fun—I need more of him in future stories.
Favorite quote that made me cry:
“My sweet.” I cupped Danny’s face, trying to keep my voice as patient as possible. “I wanted this more than anything in the universe. To be with you always.” I leaned in and kissed him. “You haven’t taken anything from me. You’ve given me a gift.”
This novella was pure perfection. If you’re a fan of Danny and Wyn, you absolutely need this in your life!

Historia
My role as Moric—ruler of a small and prosperous fiefdom in a quiet corner of the world—has always been painfully dull and stifling. Until a beautiful, otherworldly creature with pink skin and a mane of golden hair falls through a strange void that has appeared in my guestroom. I am instantly captivated by him. I have never seen anything like him. I have no idea where he came from, and what else is through that unsettling void—another world filled with soft-skinned, defenseless creatures like him? No tails, no horns, no claws, no sharp teeth. Tiny clothing, rounded ears, bright blue eyes.

Heartbreakingly Beautiful
Revisado: 12-27-24
I’ve never been this emotionally wrecked by a book before. Why did no one warn me this was so heartbreaking?, I wanted to give up many times, my heart was shattered, I cried so much my eyes were swollen for hours, but I’m glad I kept going, the ending was just beautiful and so worth it.
Lor, omg this beautiful precious Moric, everything he went through was so painful, Lily truly made feel everything, I can still feel the pain her words caused.
And Jugs? Omg that sweet beautiful himbo is everything!
I don’t want to spoil this for anyone, but this is a must read in the series: Painfully Stunning!
I loved this book, I loved it so so much, it reached my soul and my heart in a very special way.
The ending! Wow!!! Wow!!! Wow!!!!
I cannot wait for the next books, also Seis and Gryf totally deserve their books as well.

Historia
I've already mentally prepared myself to kill the screaming, murderous monster in the cage outside our camp. I'm used to it. It's what I do here. Kill monsters and other people. This monster, Seraph, is particularly unstable—has been since the moment he arrived from Collector Mary's monster menagerie to the west, where the military stashed him away. He's in pain. I can see it. But he's not a mindless beast. Not like some of the others think. When I start guarding him in his cage every night, I begin to see the person beneath the agony that tortures his every waking moment.

Beautiful Seraph! Another fantastic narration by Michael Lesley!
Revisado: 12-20-24
4.75 stars- Another great book! Seraph himself is a precious, tragic monster with a heartbreaking origin story. He starts as a wild, violent, and terrifying presence but transforms into one of the most beautiful and endearing characters in the series.
Lilac is equally compelling, bringing a fascinating blend of creepiness and kindness to the story. Michael Lesley’s narration perfectly captures his eccentricity, making it easy to imagine Lilac as a man who cares deeply for his people while also being a bit unhinged. This combination makes him the ideal partner for Seraph, and their dynamic is both chaotic and deeply moving. Lilac’s protective nature is particularly satisfying—it’s exactly what Seraph needs to heal and thrive.
Another highlight of the book is the involvement of other beloved monsters and their mates. Michael Lesley’s talent for voicing multiple characters at once truly shines here, adding layers of depth and humor. From Danny’s big news about the time place to Edin’s union-forming ambitions lol, and Rig’s unwavering loyalty as a best friend, the ensemble cast adds richness to the story. Aury’s ability to form friendships with all the monsters is heartwarming and serves as a beautiful reminder of the bonds that tie this world together.
Seraph is an emotional, thrilling, and deeply satisfying read. It’s a testament to Lily Mayne’s skill as a storyteller and Michael Lesley’s brilliance as a narrator.

Historia
When I—along with my best friend and his big purple monster boyfriend—come across a fortress-like raider camp while journeying across the monster-infested Wastes, we stop to deliver a message. Somehow, that simple pit stop turns into a seemingly impossible quest to get this camp's missing leader out of the prison where he's being held and forced to fight monsters and other humans. I know exactly where it is because I've been there. Problem is, I'm making this journey with the prickliest and most arrogant guy I've ever met, who seems to hate me on sight. Oh, and he's also half-monster.

Beautiful story of Charlie and Moth
Revisado: 12-17-24
I can see why Moth is a favorite among readers—The care, love, and patience Charlie shows toward Moth is deeply moving, especially as Moth navigates the pain and trauma he has endured. Moth himself is such a fragile and compelling character—my heart broke for him as I learned of everything he had to go through.
The plot was engaging overall, though I felt it dragged a little during Cat’s search. At times, I grew impatient.
One minor disappointment was not seeing more of Samson. He struck me as a fascinating character, and I would have loved to dive deeper into his story—especially to know he finds a happy ending of his own.
Finally, I couldn’t help but wish for a more visibly happy Moth by the end of the book. He likely was content in his own quiet way, but I wanted to see a bit more joy for him after everything he endured.
Overall, Moth is a heartfelt, beautifully written story about love, patience, and seeing someone for who they truly are.
Another beautiful narration by Michael Lesley!
Although I loved this book, my favorite books are still Edin and Soul Eater. Looking forward to Seraph, I’ve heard amazing things about that one.
