Historia
This survival guide for new pilots identifies the pitfalls waiting inside the killing zone, the period from 50 to 350 flight hours when they leave their instructors behind and fly as pilot in command for the first time. Although they're privately certified, many of these unseasoned aviators are unaware of the potential accidents that lie ahead while trying to build decision-making skills on their own - many times falling victim to inexperience.

Very useful info. for Pilots.
Revisado: 07-01-22
A great book on how to not kill yourself in an airplane. There is really nothing in here you haven't heard in flight school, but the real world examples that go with the lessons taught in the book easily make it worth a listen. If you are a pilot who doesn't want to die in an airplane, read this book.

Historia
Stick and Rudder is the first exact analysis of the art of flying ever attempted. It has been continuously in print for 33 years. It shows precisely what the pilot does when he flies, just how he does it, and why. Because the basics are largely unchanging, the book therefore is applicable to large airplanes and small, old airplanes and new, and is of interest not only to the learner but also to the accomplished pilot and to the instructor himself.

If you read this you will be a better pilot.
Revisado: 08-06-21
The value of this book for any pilot or person who wishes to be a pilot is completely evident even in the first chapter. If you want to be a safer pilot, read this book. If you want to understand the function of your airplane more thoroughly, read this book. If you want to understand the science behind flying, read this book. There is nothing in this book that is not valuable so please read it. The narrator did great. His pronunciation of much of the aviation vocabulary was spot on. 5 stars. I recommend this book to any pilot or student pilot, and wholeheartedly believe it should be required reading at every flight school.

Still the best book I have ever read.
Revisado: 07-14-21
I loved this book when I was ten years old, I'll love it when I'm 100. I have read it seven or eight times and will read it dozens more I'm sure. Harper Lee's "To Kill A Mockingbird," is a literary masterpiece. Her characters are beautiful, sweet, kind, and very real. She somehow finds a way to express in words what words cannot say. 10 out of 10 for the author and the narrator.

Historia
Booker T. Washington fought his way out of slavery to become an educator, statesman, political shaper, and proponent of the "do-it-yourself" idea. In his autobiography, he describes his early life as a slave on a Virginia plantation, his steady rise during the Civil War, his struggle for education, his schooling at the Hampton Institute, and his years as founder and president of the Tuskegee Institute in Alabama, which was devoted to helping minorities learn useful, marketable skills.

A Man I Respect And Try To Emulate In My Own Life.
Revisado: 07-02-21
Mr. Booker T. Washington's life is an inspiration to any who cares enough to learn of it. The values he carried, and principles he lived by are all the very best. What he did for the world is amazing. This book is full of so much wisdom, I couldn't help but stop trying to keep track of the many inspirational things he said, for there were too many. This whole book is an inspirational quote. I am very confident that any person who reads this book, internalizes it, and tries to emulate the character attributes of Booker T. Washington will see their life improve greatly. I am glad I read it. Also, the reader should be commended for his excellent job. His inflection and articulation of speech was well executed, he made the book entertaining to hear, and the life of Mr. Washington more interesting to study. My thanks to all who participated in this production. Highly Recommend.

Historia
Ernest Hemingway said, “All modern American literature comes from one book by Mark Twain called Huckleberry Finn". One hundred years after its author’s death, this classic remains remarkably modern and poignantly relevant. In this new edition, Elijah Wood reads Huck in a youthful voice that may be the closest interpretation to Twain’s original intent. His performance captures the excitement and confusion of adolescence and adventure.

Extra Stars for Elijah Wood.
Revisado: 06-10-21
Mr. Twain's book is a classic for a reason. The writing, story, characters, and dialogue speak for themselves. The truly special part of this particular edition of Huck Finn, is Elijah Wood's reading. After listening to hundreds of books, nobody has surprised me, or impressed me more than Elijah Wood. I hope to hear many more books read by him in the future. Highly recommend.

A natural storyteller and raconteur in his own right - just listen to Paddle Your Own Canoe and Gumption - actor, comedian, carpenter, and all-around manly man Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation) brings his distinctive baritone and a fine-tuned comic versatility to Twain's writing. In a knockout performance, he doesn't so much as read Twain's words as he does rejoice in them, delighting in the hijinks of Tom - whom he lovingly refers to as a "great scam artist" and "true American hero".

Revisado: 06-02-21
This book is special, though you no doubt already know that if you've read it before. If you have not, do so. It will make you wish you were still a kid and it will bring a smile to your face. Nick Offerman does a superb job at narration, once you get used to him. His particular skill in the dialogue of each character is what really impressed me. It's a quick read and well worth the time, highly recommended.

Historia
George Orwell depicts a gray, totalitarian world dominated by Big Brother and its vast network of agents, including the Thought Police - a world in which news is manufactured according to the authorities' will and people live tepid lives by rote. Winston Smith, a hero with no heroic qualities, longs only for truth and decency. But living in a social system in which privacy does not exist and where those with unorthodox ideas are brainwashed or put to death, he knows there is no hope for him.

Narration is second to none!
Revisado: 04-08-21
The story is fantastic and beautifully written, it is clearly fictional, and often far fetched, though it is often quite unsettlingly realistic. Clearly Orwell spent a great deal of time on the story and his theories. In my opinion everybody should read this story. It clearly presents a world of Government oppression. A world where speech is monitored and suppressed, where thoughts are punishable crimes, where people cannot protect themselves, gather freely, love one another, or exist as a collective. It makes you appreciate the freedoms you have and it makes you never want to give them up. The Narrrator is fantastic, he truly captures the tone of the story, and the emotion of the characters in such detail it is hard to want to listen to any other. Highly recommend!

Dave Rubin launched his political talk show The Rubin Report in 2015 as a meeting ground for free thinkers who realize that partisan politics is a dead end. He hosts people he both agrees and disagrees with - including those who have been dismissed, deplatformed, and despised - taking on the most controversial issues of our day. As a result, he’s become a voice of reason in a time of madness. Now, Rubin gives you the tools you need to think for yourself in an age when tribal outrage is the only available alternative.
