Great story, performance needs an update.

Still my favorite story in the Jack Ryan universe, but it’s obvious that this performance is dated and is not up to the same quality you expect from Audible.

Don’t Bother

I read the same reviews you’ve likely already read and dismissed them. Don’t. The story is solid as always, and while there isn’t a rhythmic wrong with the performance as a stand alone story, so much is lost by not having Vicky B read the characters you’ve come to know and love. I spent so much time getting agitated by the pronunciations being off that it detracts from the story. Honestly, unless they have this one re-recorded, I would recommend just getting the book digitally or on paper and reading it. Very disappointing.

Decent, worth the listen.

The story was pretty good, captivating with enough uncertainty to keep it interesting. Victor Bevine, as always, was phenomenal. He makes it worthwhile by his performance alone.
