Historia
A nuclear EMP attack would shove the USA back 150 years. Death, chaos, and lawlessness would prevail.... Zack Johnson is no hero, but he does have some valuable prepper skills to help him survive. There is nothing like a nuclear apocalypse to help a man grow up and become a hero as he helps his family and friends survive. He is 2,000 miles from home; the grid and all modern transportation have failed. The country is degenerating into violence and dog-eat-dog scenarios. People are killing their neighbors for a scrap of moldy bread or a sip of water.

Unbelievably boring and poorly written.
Revisado: 01-30-24
If this was a movie, it would be a complete flop. “B” rated at best.
I enjoy preparedness books, but this one is literally the least imaginative and boring books I have ever listened to. I would not recommend wasting your credit or your money.
The only good thing I can say is that so far, none of it has been foul but if you were looking for something that isn’t foul, and is a great story, check out all of the books by Mark Goodwin.

Historia
When a coordinated EMP attack takes out the nation’s power grid, a small town finds itself at ground zero of an all-out Russian invasion. With limited options and no time to prepare, the citizens have no choice but to turn to a mysterious drifter, Jack Bunker, for help. The former combat engineer has the skills to keep them alive, but he won’t be able to do it alone, not against an overwhelmingly superior force.

Very long, slow to build, and too far from possible.
Revisado: 12-15-22
One of the things that I enjoy in fictional post, apocalyptic stories is when authors don’t get too carried away with unrealistic and physically impossible things for the characters, weapons, animals, etc.….
The story frequently went outside that realm with everything from a horse to super human characters. Constant references to the sex appeal of the female characters was a bit much as well. Overall, I finished the story, but I would not recommend it to anyone I know.

A short listen for sure
Revisado: 05-21-22
If you’re looking for in-depth ideas and ways to improve employee engagement, I don’t believe this is the book for you.
It is definitely a quick listen and worth the while if you’re looking for something simple and quick but not what I was after in the end.

Historia
A lifelong Alaskan, Steve Kahn moved at the age of nine from the “metropolis” of Anchorage to the foothills of the Chugach Mountains. A childhood of berry picking, fishing, and hunting led to a life as a big-game guide. When he wasn’t guiding in the spring and fall, he worked as a commercial fisherman and earned his pilot’s license, pursuits that took him to the far reaches of the Alaskan wilderness. He lived through some of the most important moments in the state’s history.

Revisado: 03-16-21
The brief stories are shallow and mostly uneventful. The storyteller has virtually no influx in his voice and speaks through a nasal mono tone voice that makes a simple story even harder to listen to.
