Defense attorney Mickey Haller is back, taking the long shot cases, where the chances of winning are one in a million. He agrees to represent a woman in prison for killing her husband, a sheriff’s deputy. Despite her conviction four years earlier, she still maintains her innocence. Another Connolly favorite. Love hi. So much. Lived in LA for 30 years and he knows it abd captures it like chandler did.

Historia
“I’m sorry but the answer’s no.” Reluctant author, Anthony Horowitz, has had enough. He tells ex-detective Daniel Hawthorne that after three books he’s splitting and their deal is over. The truth is that Anthony has other things on his mind. His new play, a thriller called Mindgame, is about to open at the Vaudeville Theater in London’s West End. Not surprisingly, Hawthorne declines a ticket to the opening night. The play is panned by the critics. In particular, Sunday Times critic Margaret Throsby gives it a savage review, focusing particularly on the writing.

Loved it

As always Horowitz books entertain and the plots are twisted and devious as are his TV scripts. . Terrific read

Historia
When Sofia meets Franz Oswald, the handsome, charming leader of a mysterious New Age movement, she’s dazzled and intrigued. Visiting his headquarters on Fog Island, Sofia’s struck by the beautiful mansion overlooking the sea, the gardens, the sense of peace and the purposefulness of the people who live there. And she can’t ignore the attraction she feels for Franz. So she agrees to stay, just for a while. But as summer gives way to winter and the dense fog from which the island draws its name sets in, it becomes clear that Franz rules the island with an iron fist.

Fog Island
Revisado: 03-29-21
This was such a good read start to finish. And based on a deeper truth experiences by the author and captured brilliantly. Having lived through the same experience and survived I can only admire Mariette for having created such a masterpiece out of such terrible times.
