Historia
In September of AD 666, an aged monk and a set of relics disappear during the night from the Abbey of Imleach. The missing monk is a matter of great concern for the abbey. But the relics are a disaster of a much higher order. They are the priceless holy relics of St. Ailbe, the man who, in the fifth century, brought Christianity to the Irish kingdom of Muman, converted and baptized its king, and founded the abbey. The relics are the political symbol of the entire kingdom, and their disappearance threatens to disrupt its continued peace and stability.

Good story flow. And good narration. Good production. Historically: reasonably accurate. Not sure if this is a series.

AUDIBLE should be ashamed

AUDIBLE should be ashamed. Of the 670 plus titles in my AUDIBLE library this is the worst excuse for a recorded book I have encountered to date. I you are reading this review don't bother getting this book.

Historia
Esteemed Egyptologist Barbara Mertz updates her widely praised social history of the people of ancient Egypt, which was originally published in 1968. Combining impeccable scholarship with a delightfully personal style, the author reconstructs the life of the Egyptians from birth to death, and beyond death, too.

Excellent introduction to the subject. Has much detail and is not overtaxing. I recommend this as an entry level reading.

Historia
When a spaceship landed in an open field in the quiet mill town of Sorrow Falls, Massachusetts, everyone realized humankind was not alone in the universe. With that realization everyone freaked out for a little while. Or almost everyone. The residents of Sorrow Falls took the news pretty well. This could have been due to a certain local quality of unflappability, or it could have been that in three years the ship did exactly nothing other than sit quietly in that field, and nobody understood the full extent of this nothing the ship was doing better than the people who lived right next door.

Bravo...well done.
Revisado: 09-14-16
This production is an exceptional piece of workmanship in the science fiction genre. The writing is clean and witty. The concepts are new, interesting and well presented. The narration was just right for the work at hand. I immediately went looking for another work by the author but, sadly, was unable to find one at Audible.com. I highly recommend this book and eagerly await the arrival of more work by Mr. Doucette at Audible.com.

What disappointed you about Hunted?
I would like to think the book was a good book but I will never know.
What didn’t you like about Paul Thornley’s performance?
The style of the person reading the book left me very unhappy. I found his style made it work just to follow the story line.
Any additional comments?
I almost returned the book. I have purchased well over 200 books and only returned one book. (A book I bought by mistake) This is the first time that I actually thought about returning a book based on merit. I didn't do so because I didn't want to black mark the author who I know to be very good.. (Others may enjoy this readers style even though I do not.)
