Historia
Part book club, part podcast, Fiction Between Friends is a celebration of how a really good book can come into your life and change it. No scathing reviews or negative commentary, just great books and engaging conversations. Hosted by four childhood friends from the suburbs of Massachusetts, each episode covers either four books they’ve loved from the past, or a new release that just hit the bookshelves. It is an idyllic place for bibliophiles to rekindle their love for an old favorite or find a new one to read.

Good fantasy series
Revisado: 04-12-21
Overall an enjoyable series. Fast-paced, likeable characters. I love that the author is also the narrator. She does a great job. Listening to the audio, I did get a little confused on some characters with similar names but I still enjoyed it.

Historia
Sometimes a villain is not a villain, and first impressions have to change.... When the disgraced kelpie of Loch Lomond, Murdoch, discovers a new threat to his homeland, he finds a loophole in his banishment to show up at Sorcha Darrow’s door. Despite initial misgivings about Murdoch’s plea for help, Sorcha quickly agrees to help the creature out of guilt for what she did to him two years ago in the faerie realm. Lachlan, now the king of the Seelie Court, is less than happy about the kelpie’s reappearance by Sorcha’s side.

Better than the first
Revisado: 10-22-20
A great second book! I enjoyed this one better than the first. I love the characters and can't wait to see what happens in the third book! I like that the faeries are still on the dark side but these ones also have a heart and care about people and I love having the kelpie in the story since we don't see them very often. Historia
Jessica doesn't know how long it's been, only that it seems like forever since she's allowed her feelings to show. Ever since they attacked her city. Monsters which appear human but are void of any expression, and seem bent on destroying all signs of sentiment in others. Their lethal blades shred anyone who shows even the slightest emotion. After her only remaining friend is killed, Jessica flees the city hoping to find a place where emotions aren't fatal.

My favorite part so far of this series is the author is also the narrator. I love hearing stories in the authors own voice. She's a great storyteller and narrator! The story continues to be unique and interesting. I would love to read more of the backstory of how things came to be. I like the snippets we do get from the journal entries. Can't wait to see where the rest of the story goes! I received a free copy for review.

Fabulous historical fiction
Revisado: 08-11-20
This series is fantastic! I love the history, the characters, the real events. I love that it follows a few central characters, makes it easy to follow and really get to know them. So many emotions. I would not say this book is a romance. While there are a couple romances, that really does seem to be the least part of the story. The real life events and dealing with daily life during horrid times is far more interesting to me. Fabulous historical fiction! I received a free copy for review.
