Historia
The adventures of Laura Ingalls and her family continue as Pa, Ma, Laura, Mary, Carrie, and little Grace bravely face the hard winter of 1880-81 in their little house in the Dakota Territory. Blizzards cover the little town with snow, cutting off all supplies from the outside. Soon there is almost no food left, so young Almanzo Wilder and a friend make a dangerous trip across the prairie to find some wheat. Finally a joyous Christmas is celebrated in a very unusual way in this most exciting of all the Little House books.

World-renowned adventuress Beryl Helliwell cited for "reckless" motoring? Why, the very idea! Constable Gibbs just has it in for her. The solution? Charm the magistrate, of course. But days after Beryl's appearance before the bench, she and Edwina pay a visit to the magistrate only to find his home ransacked and the man himself lying dead at the bottom of a grand staircase. Given the state of the house, his death appears to be connected to a rash of robberies in the village.

There's been a spot of bother: The treasurer has absconded with the club's funds and several prized birds. brilliant fortinate find of a series
Revisado: 09-19-22
sometimes i have one of those cold sweat moments when i think, "shit, what if I'd never happened on this author and this narrator?" it's just like when i think that, gosh, if i had not rented that dumpy cabin in Tahoe for the summer of 2001 I'd never have met my husband. i know, it's silly, but that's HOW GOOD these mysteries are. the narrator, James Langton, is unreal. Put down that Agatha Christie you are about to re-read for the fourth time and order every book in this series before something happens to you, or It's the end of the world or whatever. hurry!
