Historia
With the Builder threat behind them, the time has finally come for Jason and his team to hit the road. Eager to get back to the adventuring he’s been longing for, Jason is excited to not be at the center of world-changing events. But before he goes, one last attempt to pull him into politics has him leaving Rimaros with a strong final impression. With new places to visit and new people to meet, the remnants of recent events have scarred the land and left lingering dangers behind. It's a busy time for adventurers willing and able to fight with monsters.

Epic Story

Regardless of how I feel about the attitude of the main character, the fact that the story as a whole is so good I find myself compelled to continue it.

Historia
It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

Main Character Attitude
Revisado: 06-06-25
I didn't like his bashing of the God of earth, calling him an absent sky wizard and all.
plus the main character is a pompous smart*** that was totally unnecessary for the story and is most likely a reflection of the authors personality himself. Which cost it one star and probably should have cost two stars.
Other than that, it's a good listen.

Historia
A born daredevil, John Homan joined the Army Air Forces after the Pearl Harbor attack. By 1944, he was co-piloting a B-24 Liberator over Nazi Germany, raining death and destruction on the enemy. This first-person account of his harrowing missions—chronicling deadly flights through skies of red-hot flak bursts and airmen bailing out with parachutes aflame—will leave listeners staggered by the determination and grit of World War II aviators.

Historia
In Buffalo Palace, the young Titus Bass sights and then sets out into the vast Rocky Mountain country. This is where he has his initial experiences with trapping beaver, surviving the freezing winter, fighting fierce Indians and even fiercer fellow mountain men, and celebrating at the hard-earned summer rendezvous. Most memorably, we walk with Titus as he first sees the immense herd which originally fueled his wanderlust and which now feeds, clothes, and houses the frontier’s pioneers, when he reaches the country lovingly called the “Buffalo Palace.”

Historia
Sixteen-year-old Titus Bass fears one fate more than any other: never to experience the great wilderness or the wildness inside himself. So late one night he snatches a squirrel gun and a handful of biscuits, flees into the woods, and doesn’t look back. From Louisville past the Chickasaw bluffs and the Natchez Trace all the way to New Orleans, he plunges into the rough-and-tumble life along the banks of the Mississippi: a volatile, violent country of boatmen and river bandits, knife fights and Indian raids, strong liquor and stronger women.

Questionable
Revisado: 08-01-24
I can't exactly put my finger on it, but either it's the narrator or the story itself. But it reeks of fiction and inexperience of real combat.

OP
Revisado: 07-23-24
The author has made a character to overpowered and to self centered. He also has what is obviously a Disneyland look of wildlife and the fact all the most dangerous wildlife needs is a hug to not be aggressive or dangerous. He repeats this obviously utopian outlook in the entire series. This is either written by someone that is mentally about 10-11 years old or targeted towards that audience and makes dangerous assumptions about wildlife, even though this is fantasy.

Good Start, but
Revisado: 07-06-24
It is pretty obvious that the author knows notjong of wolf behavior and interactions with humans at the start of the story. But he had to start the story with some action I suppose. Otherwise it's a fairly decent story, if not a bit simplistic.

They tried to kill or capture Yozef Kolsko. The possibility that Caedellium could have peaceful years going forward is refuted. The key is bringing down Narthon. But how? Caedellium is too small, despite innovations by Yozef Kolsko (Joseph Colsco) and Mark Kaldwel (Caldwell), humans cast away on the planet Anyar. Allies are needed. Campaigns to be planned. Risks to be taken. For Yozef Kolsko, it means assuming roles he never imagined or believed himself capable. Anyar will never be the same.

Story
Revisado: 07-03-24
As I continue to listen to this this series, it strikes me that it is far, far to similar in many respects to David Weber's "Safehold" series. Did the author get most of this series idea from that series?
Regardless, I think my time with it is near it's end. The main character has become an arrogant imbecile and everything is becoming OVER explained in nauseating detail. Plus the narrator tends to YELL out certain passages, much more excessive than needed to match the characters attitude.
