The development of the characters
Revisado: 09-15-24
.The characters in most mysteries are described only as they relate to the plot. They are paper characters, silhouettes used to lead the reader as they solve the puzzles intricate to the plot and the strategy they use to solve the mystery and finally revealed the murderer. I enjoy it good mystery..
However, this author provides a description of the characters so you understand their emotions, and better understand their relationship to one other and how this pertains to solving the mystery

The end

The murderer is ALWAYS the person least suspected because he was mentioned in about 0.3% of the book. She writes a good story but a terrible mystery

Someone that is not one of the suspects and is revealed in the last 10-20 pages, typical of Van Cleaves.

It was hard to understand due to quality of the sound. I realize the tape was old but isn’t it possible to filter the sound to improve the quality?

Perhaps I missed the clues
Revisado: 08-08-18
I appreciate the author providing clues to the murderer throughout the book. It gives me a chance to try to figure out the reason for the crime and the person who committed it. I don’t remember any such clues. Perhaps I just missed them.

Good story but...
Revisado: 11-10-17
It was an interesting story with twist and turns and well thought out until the end. The end was finished like there was a dead line and all strings tied together in 5 minutes. The identification of the murderer could have been more developed in a few more chapters.

Historia
Modern art dealer Granville Hardwick has a way with people - a way of making them wish he were dead. His London gallery is filled with works of questionable merit, his dating pool consists of other men's wives, and his home is the eyesore of a fine old neighborhood. So when Hardwick turns up dead, bashed on the head by a rather tasteless reproduction, it's Hetheridge and his new bride, Kate, who embark on solving the case

Not as good as the two previous books
Revisado: 07-19-17
The characters become more fully developed and I found I wanted all of the main characters to forge a private detective agency.
The killer is revealed in a few minutes at the end. The story of the killer is not woven into the story. Its like the author wasn't sure of the killer until it was time to end the book.
