I think these narrators should receive an award. They are perfect. I love Mark Bramhall's voice so very much.
I live in the Hill Country of Texas, and I know all about these floods and the damage and heartbreak that comes along with them.
My book club read this book at my urging. Many of us were a little perplexed by the story line that does not directly deal with these floods. That by no means detracted from the book. Just gives us more to think about.

A little too "soap opera". I know that sounds terrible to say. I just personally do not find people behaving badly to be entertaining.

I laughed out loud

It took me a chapter or two to really commit to this book. Once I did, it seemed to roll along beautifully and I was captivated. I could not wait to see (hear) what would happen next. There was a point in the book where it was absolutely hysterical, and I was laughing out loud. I will probably read this book again.
