Though the traitor God within Valencia has been exposed and Zephyrus and Threyna wild the artifacts of long dead deities, the way to the divine realm is blocked. The Harbinger has ascended to slaughter the Gods and leave the mortal realm in ruins. Yet Zephyrus, Laeden, Vykinallia, Iylea and Threyna have even more pressing concerns. The Skeleton King has come to New Rheynia’s shores. Empowered by cursed magic, he and his legions will stop at nothing to consume every soul in the mortal realm in service to their One True God.

Peace bought by blood seldom lasts, for vengeance knows no end. The same is true for mortals and gods alike. Decades, centuries, and even eras may pass, but the cycle remains. As war and revolution rise again, Zephyrus finds himself at the center of it all. Chosen by the gods, hailed as a prophet of liberation, and forged as a weapon to break the kingdom and restore balance to the realm, hope rests squarely on his shoulders.

That was what the Order preached to unite the people against the undying—the same mantra the rebels used to rally against the Skeleton King’s tyrannical rule. But for estranged sisters Threyna and Laela, forced unity might be even more disastrous than division. Ten years after losing everything, Threyna is now a hardened rebel. After acquiring the Skeleton King’s cursed blood magic, she has vowed to overthrow his corrupt rule, even if it costs her soul. Laela, once her ally, has abandoned the doomed rebellion, preparing to lead a mass exodus from the cursed island in search of new beginnings.

While Danella directs Damascus to finish the war her father started, Laeden frees gladiator slaves to raise an army against them. And Iylea, after skirting death to become a servant in the divine realm, learns of a treacherous plot amongst the Gods with Zephyrus at the center of it all.
